Low Heat...I really enjoy your videos. For the past 10 years or so, NI has these 2 events every year. Summer of Sound is good for stacking up on software or upgrading to the next package (Komplete Select to Standard). The Fall event is good for getting hardware bundles. Back around 2018, I got the Kontrol M32 Keyboard and Komplete 12 Select for around $200. I later upgraded to 13 Standard for $99 in the summer of 2021. I never upgraded to 14 since I own everything that interests me. I do like the Play Series packs that get released, and it's pretty dope when NI releases a free plug-in. Personally, I've never used all the sounds in Komplete, but I would take advantage of the summer sale if you're just interested in one or two plug-ins.
Hey, thank you, I'm really glad you're enjoying the videos! Getting Select bundled with hardware and upgrading to Standard on sale is definitely the most cost effective move. That's still (tens of?) thousands of great sounds, more than most people need.
If the NI 360 is a cloud bassed subscription model similar to UVI Sonic Pass and includes everything at a competative price, it might be worth it. That was a mouthful 🤣
I've got Komplete Standard 14 and it was really tempting to upgrade to Ultimate, just because of Cinematics and Orchestral bundles, but from other hand - do I really gonna use them until next year? I've already got so many sounds that I haven't explored yet in Standard, plus Ive got VPS Avenger, Pigments, Hive which I really like and so many others vsts. Nah, I think I'll wait until version 15 and see, what it can offer. Then maybe I will buy that on some discount. I'm patient :) The same with Ableton - I've got version 11 and I know what its in 12, but Ill wait until version 13. Does not make sense to double pay for almost the same products with some few more features. From other hand , I've bought Micro Maschine Mk3, 25 % cheaper than regular price :) Im fan of Novation, (Ive got 2 launchpads and launchkey), but I was really curious, how workflow looks like with that device. Im pretty sad, that there are difficulties with using Novation with Maschine 2.0 and Mikro with Ableton, but I can live with that. Workflow in Maschine 2.0 is sooo different than in Ableton, that I need to learn almost everything from scratch, how its works. But its pretty fun :)
Hi, Just wondering if you know whether the M32 keyboard comes with Komplete Select bundle, or whether its a different bundle because I would like to buy a cheaper bundle and update to standard and then to collectord edition for the cinematic stuff. But if the M32 doesn't come with Select, I can't get the update price for Standard I will have to purchase Select, then update to Standard and then to Collectors which is a pain but still cheaper than paying full price. Any information on this will be appareciated. Thanks! Sub'd.
M32 was bundled with Komplete Select during the big summer sale that ended a couple of days ago. When not on sale it comes with a smaller selection of instruments. They may offer the same deal around Black Friday, but this is not certain. If you're going to buy/upgrade Komplete you might as well wait a couple of months for 15 to be released, since it's no longer on sale and you'll be paying full price anyway. Thank you for the sub!
The lowest tier of the new one will replace Komplete Now. AFAIK it’s invite only temporarily before the official launch which will probably be in autumn.
@@LowHeatBeatsthank You, I’m trying to decide before the sale ends if I should spend the $200 to Upgrade to Standard or wait for the sub. I’m not into trap or rap.
The maschine price drops are a defensive move because NI is losing market share due to their lack of innovation and the apparent decision to abandon the maschine platform in the longer term.
I just think that the Maschine community needs something new to get excited about. Otherwise Maschine works fine - still gets compatibility and bugfix updates (we got one yesterday) so it's not abandoned. But I understand your point. Let's hope the promised software feature updates come out sooner rather than later.
