I am Hindu astrologer, but this Buddhist chant is quite compatible because it pertains to elements and directions, i.e., to COSMIC LOGOS. These are alternate presentations of deities/metaphysical realities that I have long cherished.

When I came across this chant 11 days ago, I expressed my appreciation here (see earlier comment), but felt unsatisfied not knowing the origin, in order to 💛🙏💛. I am constantly playing the chant on loop. It is so meaningful to me and also tranquilizing. I select 0.75 playback, so my mind can more easily follow the mantra.

Shingon Buddhism has always fascinated me but I've never been able to find a teacher. Are there any benefits in practicing this wonderfully beautiful mantra without a teacher ?
Starling there are always benefits even if you just use your breath and body as a focus for meditation as you say the mantra, just like following the breathing. For more developed practice, of course, you want a teacher, but this mantra does not require an initiation I understand.
