The freight which stalled near Khandala was running ahead of Konark express and I shot its video. Watch it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qOEim9nYFPU.html
This track, is the first successful track of railways, built by an Indian!! It's 166 years old today, And yesterday, 19/03/22 Indian express carried a report, stating,British were seriously considering, shifting Capital from Calcutta to Pune( Instead of Delhi)!! FOR THIS REASON( Railway connectivity to Mumbai, & port)!! Very nicely captured!! A layman can understand, what difficulties, may arise in actual operations!! My respect to your effort,& those, who keep this line's functional!!
@@theacechip would be good but Nagpur would be better considering its geo-political advantages but I'm not sure about the effects of dry and warm climate there;)
History says the Indian railway was built and run by the British and all the raiway supplies except sleepers were from Britain until independance. Then how come this "166 year old " railway was built by an Indian?.
@Hemant Joshi Where did you get this kind of fake info? According to you, this track was made in 1954 which means Bombay to Thane was not the first operational railway line in India? Can you indicate the source please?
@@GoodSamaritanGoodSamaritan Fake? Kindly read autobiography of railway man E.Shridharan. All this information is available on Wikipedia. I request You Tube, to kindly look into this matter, as the writer named 'Basic Knowledge' is writing irresponsible statements!! It's 1854, & not 1954!! Dumb fellow!!
Finally the rail fans have found a way to shoot the Khopoli to Lonavala section ,hats off to your dedication man. Really appreciate your hard work Cheers
@ganeshsakhare8449 Thanks, railways have noticied my work and rewarded with free passes on recent two Vande Bharat Inaugration Runs. I am happy with that 😃
Excellent videography. Need not say sorry for the sound of the blowing wind. This is quite natural. Hats off to the engineers who had laid the tracks in this mountainous terrain. Hats off to you as well for sharing this experience.🙏
Great clarification and working modes! MONKEY HILL sounds great! FORMERLY there were only TWO Aline’s and so this is how the THIRD crucial line is helping!
i travelled by deccan express two days ago 11007 & 11008 and my soul connected with those benevolent mountains. I love the western ghats !!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU rail fans for creating such incredible content and giving us a glimpse of the challenging and dangerous Bhor ghat through your impressive videography.
Thank you for such a marvelous bird’s eye/drone shot view of this crossing as well as the panoramic shots of the ghats. Brought back many memories. Huge respect and admiration for your passion for Rails! Would love to visit this spot right after the monsoons when its verdant green all around…perhaps on my next visit. Thanks again for the virtual flyby and please be safe while out shooting.
I appreciate your concern and yes I do take care, safety first. I have been doing treks here since last 15 years so I know all the routes 😀 I live at the foothills of this mountain in city named as Khopoli.
Yes , beautiful photography. Also quite a bit of technical information. Thanks and as mentioned above safety 1st please. Will watch out for more videos from you
Would you have access to loco sheds? If so a small video , with description of different types of loco , would be nice. Please give a thought and try if possible .
Loved the video and the narration. The location bought back memories from almost 25 years ago when we used to do the same hike there to see the trains, especially in the monsoon. Wish I could go back here someday. Well done and keep up the excellent work
Keep yourself safe buddy.. And don't be sorry about wind sound.. That gives more of a natural feel to the video... Thanks for sharing such a wonderful video... Pls take care and be safe on the hills
I remember clinging to the side of a train whilst going up to Lonavla in 2000 .Its an awesome bit of engineering that route and intersesting seeing bits of the old route . Blessings from England .
Superb! Nice recording and information. Brought back memories of over 25 years ago when we trekked from Monkey hill to Thakurwadi in monsoon. What fantastic scenery all round especially during monsoons!
Hats of our Railway department who laid Rails in such tuff areas (J & K has more risky routes than this) Really a good video which u shooted in different place to locate to lines.. Take care while shooting like this.. 👍👍👌👌👏👏👏👏👏👏
Mind blowing videography, that too using your mobile phone camera. And salutes for capturing such an enchanting panoramic view without even caring for your life. One thing that I am particularly proud of you is the in depth knowledge of the railways that you posses. Hats off to you, and keep up the good work.
You have a lot of technical knowledge about trains. Nice photography. Thanks. i liked it and subscribed. looking farward to seeing more beautiful videos from you. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹from USA.
The stack of Bhushan Steel is also visible. Superb video.👍👍 Btw, is it a tough trek to the point from where you took the shot? Where do you start from?
Trains are halted going down from Pune to Bombay to check whether their brakes are in good condition. Three times. If the train cannot stop fully, they divert it to siding where there is barrier to stop it. As far as I am aware, there are no brake checks in up track Do people know there were 2 sections initially. Bombay - Karjat- Khopoli and Pune - Khandala with gap. In between people used ghoda gadi to shift between end points. Then after some years the ghat section was completed between Karjat and Khandala. Where there was huge Amrutanjan board on Bombay Pune highway, for long time the dead end tracks of Pune Khandala section remained above NH4. I remember seeing in 1970. Then the unused section above NH4 was made into a road. Does anyone have photos of old Pune - Khandala track end section?
Thanks for filling in the “gaps” (especially regarding the real one between Khopoli and Khandala). There are quite a few rail fans who value these details! Hope someone just might have a photograph of the dead-end buffer before it was replaced by the highway🤞
Good coverage from the hilltop. Nice to see the bird's eye view. Good job, keep it up. Hats off to all the Indain Railways Team members for the great job they are rendering to the commuters... Mir Fareeduddin Khan Hyderabad / Jeddah, KSA.
Good view. Nice work. I think it is risky to stand still at such a place to photograph. Not a easy job. I think one has to walk a lot to reach the spot.
May be some Freight on Line 1 ahead at KAD. So Konark Express might be diverted via Middle Line and then it might overtake the freight and halt at LNL PF2.
