Originally this temple was like a Chariot pulled by 7 majestic horses. But with time and invasions, the horses were completely destroyed and the temple is also not in a very good shape. The government should rebuild it like it was in the past.

If someone remember history correctly, they should know that India had Maratha Confederacy before British Raj, Marathas and British fought 3 wars, popularly known as the Anglo-Maratha wars after which Marathas lost grip on India. So India was technically under Secular rule (Marathas were secular) and not Islamic. British had no role in increasing or decreasing any followers of any religion.

Now, let us go much deeper inside. We will study about the wheels. For the uninitiated the sundial has 8 major spokes that divide 24 hours into 8 equal parts, which means that the time between two major spokes is 3 hours.There are 8 minor spokes as well. Each minor spoke runs exactly in the middle of 2 major spokes. This means that the minor spoke divides the 3 hours in half, so the time between a major spoke and a minor spoke is an hour and half or 90 minutes.The edge of the wheel has a lot of beads. There are 30 beads between a minor and a major spoke. So, the 90 minutes are further divided by 30 beads. This means that each bead carries a value of 3 minutes. Those deep meanings ,those type of thinkings by an architect,builders were magnificiently INCREDIBLE❤

Why not reconstruct the remaining broken parts of the temple like it was depicted in the picture? Is it possible ? Restoration of the whole temple complex should be done.

Policy of minimum intervention has to be maintained so that the originality of the structure isn't harmed. Too much intervention will result into UNESCO pulling out its World Heritage Site designation.

Sir don't know about other states but in our state Odisha the track records of ASI is not good.. They stolen a idol of Ganeshji from Jagannath mandir and restored it in ASI office Bhubaneswar premises.. Similarly they replaces broken iconic stones from konark sun temple with simple sand stone.. We deeply feel hurt when our own people destroying our architecture..

Muslim invasion k wajah se wohan se Surya bhagwan k Pratima ko hata di gayi. Main temple k upar ek special type k stone ko rakha geya tha, jab Surya horizon se just niche hota h toh unka kiran dharti pe nhi girta h, balki sea level se kuchh meter upar aasman me rehta h. Toh Surya ka pehla kiran Bharat k dharti pe girne se pehle uss mandir k upar rakha gaya stone k upar padta tha. Aur uss stone ka cutting aesa kiya geya tha ki uske upar pade gaye sari kirno ko wo refract Kar k mandir k andar fenk ta tha. Aur ussi jagah Surya ki pratima ko rakha geya tha. Matlab ye h ki din ka pehla kiran sabse pehle Surya ki pratima k upar pade. Aur aesa mana jata h ki Mandir k andar Surya bhagwan k pratima floating state me hota tha by using magnetic field. Aur un magnets ko Portugese wale tod tod k le gaye apne dess. Aur unhi ka football player ka statue ko hum laga rhe h apne desh me aur wo v wohan jahan wo raaj karte the, Goa me.

There are 7 horses pulling this chariot which represent the seven days of the week. Some people even say that these 7 horses represent the 7 colors of the sunlight (violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red). Some even mention that these represent the 7 chakras of the human (muladhara, swadhisthana, manipura, anahata, vishuddha, agna and sahasrara). For a bit more info, the 7 horses of the Surya are Gayathri, Bruhathi, Ushnik, Jagathi, Dhrushtup, Anushtup and Bhakthi.

What i have learned is that there was a statue in the main temple.. it was made by some metal and statue was the reason why temples roof was holded .. because there is a huge magnetic stone was placed at the top of temple .. and when sunlight hits the statue it generates magnetic charge that helps statue to stay in the air ..

ASI is like the "Damage Control" of Marvel Universe. They have taken several beautifully carved stones with historic importance off the Temple and replaced them with Plain Stones.. Konark is my native place and I've seen it since my childhood..a lot of details are missing now..the world renowned wonder seems like a mound of stones on a vast grass carpet.

Current temple should be dismantle and rebuild as it was with the same stones on the same location with modern technology if needed , it is world heritage site but should be restored as it was is in its past glory . Don't have to worry about UNESCO , we have to think about what we left for our future generations. 👍👍👍👍

@@simanchalmishra7596 It's possible brother , there is technology called 3D mapping ,in it with the help of laser you can get accurate measurements of the current buildings and with the help of that readings you can build it . In Europe they are doing the same thing to preserve their old churches . Why in Europe in MP India Beteshwar temples rebuilded by Archeological dept of India ,👍👍👍👍

And, as, everything has an inception, transitional, maturity and the stage of decadence here the temple building in Odisha had a stop after this temple. yes , sun temple should be resurrected , with modern marvels in construction we can also try to make a loadstone and implant it, that loadstone was responsible to keep the sun god pratima hanging in air . Such marvels of ancient times could be recreated with gods grace and correct intentions of indians

I don't know why u didn't cover this fact👉 On the top of this temple there was a huge crystal. After passing through tht crystal Sun rays fell on 7 horses by coloring them by 7 different colours of the sun(VIBGYOR). and also there was a magnetic pull for the iron made ships when they crossed the temple in the see..thats why Britishers broke this temple and stolen that huge crystal.
