the netflix series made kong a bit more believable as a representative of his species. While yes kong lived and protected skull island he still needed to eat. Like most males of any species kong wanted a mate of some sort to stave off the loneliness. A thing to note about the ending of the series. Kong didn't want to kill the kraken near the end of their fight. The kraken attacked while kong's back was turned which prompted the big guy to give it a 'splitting' headache.

Not to mention that with Skull Island that soon breaks apart after the rise of Ghidorah, there probably wasn't even enough food on the island. Dude had little choice, and he can't eat Radiation like Godzilla.

I'd say kong's got a more neutral side. I mean, he IS a giant ape with an appetite to match. if it's peter jackson's, it'd be 1000x easier to feed (not accounting for the tian sized foes). but since kong is a titan, eventually he'll have to find food somewhere else or die.

I enjoyed skull island a lot, and loved the way they represented Kong on the show. Part of me is wondering what the next season will be about considering the ending. I have a theory that it was intended to be a singular season about Kong, and the second season would be about Godzilla. Either way I'm excited for more kaiju media, if Netflix doesn't just randomly pull the plug on the show.

A monkey who keeps on growing will need a lot of food to eat, Makes sense he will start causing an unintentional imbalance on skull island.

Monsterverse kong is the absolute best kong ever!! I love his story throughout each movie/show and he is so fun to watch and I’m excited to see him again in season 2 and Godzilla x kong the new empire

It was interesting to see the "behind the scenes" of Kong and skull island itself. Because not all heroes do "good" all of the time.

That’s actually not entirely how he got bigger, it was said by the people who make the monster verse that stress is a major factor in his growth and the stress of being alone and fighting off the skull crawlers all hindered him from getting bigger so when he killed the last one then he started exploding in size

This is the only time you have put forth a point that I disagree with. Not your reasoning ,I just disagree with you saying that the Island was badly affected. Skull Island is portrayed with sooo much life of all kinds that it simply isn't an environment suffering in that way in my understanding. Thanks for always having good stuff guys.

Yep, Kong was just going survival mode just to stay alive and well even though he was slowly becoming Skull Island's thorn in their backside.

It\s actually a bit weird that Kong is a predator (the 2005 Kong does seem to be a plant eater at least predominantly) as real life Gorillas are predominantly vegetarian, they may occasionally consume insects but that's pretty much it. Same with orangutans. It would be somewhat easier to sustain him if he ate plant matter, but he would still need very large trees to do so. Hollow Earth with their 1000 foot tall trees is really the perfect place to sustain these enormous apes if they are plant eaters.

Just to point something out so that this doesn’t feel weird like the previous iteration of Kong by Peter Jackson, long lived animals or intelligent animals in the real world, like albatross, corvids, or even some forms of monkey, have been known to create friendships and partners that don’t have the undertone of mating so while Kong does have a weird obsession with human women, It is probably not for any odd reason, and he just wants a lady friend since he’s already a guy

I ironically think that the relationship Kong had with the hunting bird is a preview as to what Orangukong is able to do if he trained any animals to hunt.

Pretty sure they have stated over and over in the Monsterverse that the titans (all titans) mainly survive from natural radiation from the earth. Which is why they grow so big. So Kong technically doesn’t “need” to eat anything except out of sheer boredom. Or he isn’t getting enough radiation so he supplements through calorie intake of other creatures. Either way if he only survived off of food he would’ve died a long time ago. The amount of calories he would need per day would make sure there was no life left on that island in a week.

That's true, and thanks to the abundance of hollow earth. He may not have to worry about destroying the ecosystem. However, Kong wasn't stupid. Maybe he did eat people, but he definitely wouldn't eat those. He was trying to protect not unless they were wrong them or they were not from the island… Kong Dash show compassion, and remorse. So this Laura may have some truth to it, but at the same time there's still a few holes that would sync this theory; or at the very least, maybe keep half of it afloat. But that's just me

I would like to see them add Titanosaurus' opening and closing web tail to Godzilla. It would better explain the Gman's aquatic nature. It is a great design and Titanosaurus isn't coming back.

I didn't like Kong eating the Croc 🐊 or Skullcrawler, but he had to for survival. The show was awesome. I would prefer to eat the Crabs if I was stranded on Skull Island.

I see it as Kong was doing what he had to in order to survive, it was either kill what he could find or die. I don't think he wanted to do it but he had no choice because of survival. When it comes to survival, you do what is necessary even if you don't like it, it's either do what you have to or its death for you. When you look at the Hollow Earth compared to Skull Island, it's a very big difference, Kong can thrive without needing to cause unintentional harm to the environment because the Hollow Earth has everything needed that can support a titan of his size, plentiful food sources, and water for him to drink, he won't be going so hungry whereas Skull Island however is much smaller, it can only handle so much of Kong before things start to go very bad for the island and Kong himself. He was always hungry because he was reaching maturity, the bigger and older he got, the more food and space he needed to sustain him properly. The Hollow Earth has everything various titans need to survive and it will ultimately suit him better because then he doesn't have to continously hunt and kill for snack sized food so much but instead hunt for his food that will be a full course meal for him. One warbat could probably satisfy him and feed him for days before he has to go on the hunt for more prey again.

My question is where was this Hawk at during Kong Skull Island the movie?

Kong has always been a killer, in EVERY movie. Even in the MonsterVerse. There's a reason why they're called apex predators. I think it's funny that Kong, Godzilla, and other Titans are referred to as gods. They've all come very close to dying lol.

it's like my years question of how these kaiju nourish themselves with their size, good thing if they only need feeding once a long time, if they need everyday that's a problem, by their scale eating regular animals is like insect diet - they need thousands, eating Kaiju-size creatures - with how slow they reproduce and grows it will not hold time, at first I was satisfied with lore Godzilla and Muto are nourished by radiation - sounds like problem solved.

Well, the girl & her "dog" are from another island, it will probably shift focus to that place, introduce more creatures & situations, somehow leading into slowly hinting at the upcoming destruction of Skull Island!? They can't give us Big G interacting with Kong, or Kong interacting with other Kongs, and no Hollow Earth for both of them, though Big G might be there, could be funny seing him floating around. I realy hope they don't give us over the top situations, just for spectacle, not connecting the dots, never ever ever explaining anything, not caring about continuity in the animated show and/or live-action movies, including the comics...
