Stray Bullet+ in some ways he right idk about the greatest I say one of the greatest but he so great that he brainwash and manipulated a generation of wrestlers and fans into believing the b.s. that they spew
Keepinit100official+ they been programmed that part of the brainwashed just like mfs would bashed impact, mlw, nwa heck now roh and njpw who used to be the internet darlings but no longer but praised the shit out of aew acted like they can't do no wrong but we seeing they doing plenty of wrong but the internet and ywc won't let you know
pre-attitude era gears was the worst - Men On Mission, Mantaur, Phantasio, Avatar, Aldo Montoya, Goon, Duke The Dumpster, Sparky Plugg, and many many more
Disco talks a lot but never really seems to say anything, and I have a hard time believing that guys involved in the business for ad long as the Jarrets wanted Disco Inferno as the champion
I used to watch WCW for Sting and Raven/The Flock. Always thought The Flock should have been a much bigger deal and would have been a perfect villainous stable for Sting and his "Crow" character. Loved that whole gimmick how Raven would break people down mentally that they became complete outcasts that sought to replicate him.
Might not want to undercut his bookings for seminars. I've been on indy shows he's done here in the maritimes. One of the most giving people of his wisdom and experience I've had the honor to meet and learn from
I have heard Arn Anderson and Jim Ross dispute shit Meltzer has said in the past was facts. I'm sorry, but I'm taking Double A and J.R's word any day of the week over Meltzer.
I think Russo's real downfall was making himself a prominent character in the shows. Putting time in getting himself over that he could've used on other talent in the promotion
Disco is a power talker that interupts the conversation to say something contrary and its fucking annoying. I love MLW and loved konnan msl and court Bauer.
those early TNA Asylum days were so good.... Such a odd mash-up of ECW, WCW, and USWA..... it’s criminal they moved to Orlando (The vibe in FL changed a lot it lost something)
Hmmm... You know I started liking Jeff around the time he was teaming with Owen Hart, when he showed up in wcw with the whole "slapnuts" catchphrase with his new bad ass take no shit persona I thought this is great for Jeff, i think Jeff is an all time very underrated great in the wrestling business especially as far as resume goes, Raven should of been larger than what he got, couldn't wait to see Raven and the flock in the nitro crowd so disshoveled and thrown away looking with kidman scratching, his ecw stuff was better though, but it's crazy they didnt see eye to eye because they both have brilliant minds for wrestling...
i remember these early days of TNA, it really did have amazing stuff but I remember when it became all about Russo vs Jarrett, even though no match was ever going to happen. That made me stick with WWE.
Didn’t Jeff Jarrett legitimately break up Kurt Angle and his ex-wife in TNA? That’s a real scumbag move, kinda like what Vince tried with the whole Rusev Lana Lashley love triangle angle.
@@wce05308 Remember, Jeff was put on leave because of this. There wouldn't have been a reason to place him on a leave of absence if it was innocent. Him and Karen are 2 pieces of shit.
@@VodkaSoda apparently Dixie sent jeff home coz she was angry that she was among the last to know. Not condoning what jeff and karen did just stating what happened.
i remember the king pins from memphis championship wrestling city champs! i met curt hennig after a show they ran in a bar in oxford miss. i asked curt what he was doing at the show. he said he came to see his buddies the kingpins from minnesota. brad rheigans from the awa was with curt. what a night to meet mr. perfect my favorite of all time.
pushing Konnan & Disco is exactly why TNA was a failure because these two jobbers are the worst of all time, their show is garbage and all they have to say is negative and mean things in their life and i have no time for that.
Konnan was good, and by all accounts was a legend in Mexico. Disco never appealed to me, but I have respect for him having actually been in the business at a high level.
Listening to Raven in interviews, he sounds like he has a lot of great ideas. Has a good wrestling mind. A Raven flock in AEW now would be over. These goth kids would love it. Early TNA, pre Hogan was really cool to watch and entertaining. The X Division was fn amazing. That X Division talent was insane. Some amazing matches. Why do some of the writers think they can run the companies lol. I bet Jarrett felt intimidated by Raven. Wasn't Jeff a part owner? Jeff seems to but heads with a lot of people it seems. Vince McMahon, Bischoff, Raven, Dixie Carter, even his own dad. He even steals other guys wife's lol Raven always speaks his mind. A heel DI World Champion would of been really over then. Raven seems to of complained a lot post-Ecw, I'm guessing cause he was partially more sober then so probably started feeling the bumps more? Great podcast guys. Thank you.
Well I guess Jarrett wasn't that ass-kissing type of guy like Hogan or HHH, and when I hear what his attitude was like, it reminds me a lot of cm punk in the way he took on people with power.
It's amusing that Gilberti accuses today's wrestlers of being thin-skinned, but then gets extremely defensive and offended when someone brings up a 2 decade old negative review of an objectively awful show that he was involved in...
Jeff Jarrett having as much power as he did in TNA was what killed it. Raven had a decent amount of power in ECW and he helped make it great! Jeff had "go away" heat with fans. Nobody really cares that much for him but he has money and uses his Christianity to get ahead.
. I do remember when Raven jumped to NWA-TNA and how it really took things to another level. That this was considered the 1st big jump. In looking back TNA should have banked more on Raven in a way. (And I like Disco in WCW by the way , you were awesome there. Wish WWE had brought Disco in when WCW went down) .
Just saw it. She was getting dragged like a fucking ragdoll wtf?! If it was fake then that was the best selling fight I ever seen cause she just got pummelled.
Dee Lo Brown who was a really good wrestler and worker and had a cool finishing move until he did the " D4L Down For Life " on Droz and crippled him. That's always the first thing that comes to mind when anyone mentions Dee Lo and it sucks but its what sticks to him name. He feels horrible about it and the reason he lost grip was Droz was wearing a shirt so Droz slipped down a bit too low due to the shirt and the rest is history. 1 more thing. " Owen Hart 3:16 - I just broke your neck ! "
Dave Meltzer is a joke of an adult. Can you imagine how depressed he is today after AEW lost the ratings by such a huge amount to NXT?! sad old man with his tight clothes
Well I am new around here and I am finding it very interesting....Disco keep doing your thing unofficial lead commentary and to the snarky comments I say: oh please.
For someone who keeps calling fans "snowflakes", Disco is such a sensitive snowflake!!!! He's constantly "offended" by the tiniest of criticisms! Maybe TNA would've been better off if Raven took over.
SexyStar (dulce) was a good luchadora and was hold up high by AAA till that whole incident at Triplemania, Even before she held the AAA mix tag belts with Penta she already had held the reina de reina belt twice then she went to lucha underground where she did great on screen and picked up a bigger fan base, Had that whole thing not happen with rose mary she probably would of gone off to have greater success. and she was one of the few female luchdoras to actually brake out of mexico into the us with success at the time.
Jarrett, which I dont really respect, has always Disrespected Ravens mind for the business(Which is one of the best) and Raven made TNA what it was. Raven was the main part of TNA for years. Respect The Raven Forever More!
the match they had for the tna title was awesome until the finish😂 The crowd was also like wtf and wanted raven to go over and they were in nashville also I think to top it off😹
it always seemed to me like Jeff Jarrett was actively trying to curb the growth of TNA. They were never, ever gonna overtake WWE... but they really should have been way, way bigger.
