AEW doesn’t draw anything. You can seriously put a re run of full house in its time slot and get the same viewers if not more

I don't believe MJF ever was a true draw for AEW. I remember checking the quarter hours and his segments were always in the bottom three without punk. But I think that has more to do with AEW, their presentation and booking because even CM Punk, despite having huge ratings at the start, fizzled out and stagnated.

MJF and Swerve are easily the lowest drawing champs in the history of pro wrestling .

The thing with MJF is that - as a lot of supposed “Bad Faith” podcasters said at the time - his Babyface turn with Adam Cole cooled him off. He’s not the draw he once was, that is factually correct, go look at the Quarter Hours from 2 years ago and up until the whole Adam Cole thing happened, the ratings gain dropped. He’s still a ratings gain, but not to the level he once was! He was once “Must See” TV, now he is not.

I don't think the MJF/Cole best friend/devil angle did anything to help anyone involved. Cole being revealed as the devil and being injured meant they couldn't continue it and it was just dropped and meaningless when MJF returned from injury. He came back and had a match with Rush then won a secondary title instead of coming back and going after the world title he just lost. Then they had him doing stuff with Garcia which is only going to bring him down with Garcia who will never be over.

MJF needs to go to WWE the moment he can because his character has been just repeated. He has nobody there to elevate him. Highest rated segment is segment 1 every week. When he’s not in segment 1 he’s 650 to 680k like everyone else.

Once a wrestler takes time off TV especially in Wrestling they get lapped by the active wrestlers

aew will continue going downhill until someone with integrity stands up to tony khan and talks some sense into him to hire a fucking booker and creative writers.

Are kids going on the innernet to claim someone is not a draw or not over for their own amusement? I think many are just super dooper unaware. MJF’s stuff has been rather limited but his segments still do good numbers and reactions. I think he would up his game if he was in a crowd of talent that AEW does not have.

MJF is taking time off to film a movie that he's doing. I'm pretty sure TK would bend over backwards to do whatever he possibly can to make his franchise star happy which is why he's letting him do it. He knows that AEW is a very mid show with MJF and that's what it's looking like right now. IDK how long MJF will be gone for , but I hope AEW uses this as an opportunity to create new stars and elevate homegrown talent while their two cornerstones (MJF & Swerve) are on their break. That'd be the very smart thing to do.
