the only part of this that I find interesting is that Jim Cornette was able to watch a Jungle Boy match and still be able to pay attention to it.

Jungle Boys lost so much credibility, even if they're trying to make him into Gargano in NXT. Each angle keeps making JB look worse than before.

I'm not saying that Rush isn't in the wrong but it's not like he had to work hard to make Jungle Boy look like a total joke.

The whole thing Cornette was saying is that Jungle Boy is too green and timid to fight back and Rush knew it. But, still did his shit. Stop it now. Ha.

I get Konnan is protective of Mexican Wrestlers,and sometimes Jim Cornette goes a little overboard on how bad something is or isn't. That said what Jim was talking about was on tv infront of millions. He grabbed Jungle Boy's d*ck. What does that have to do with anything Konann was saying? This isn't Mexico.

I’m on Jim’s side on this. And Jim said the agent should be fired. I don’t know if Konnan listened to everything Jim said. This is bad booking, jungle boy is to green and rush showed the world that, and rush pissed in TKs mouth because he isn’t being pushed. The funny point is the thing with the lucha brother’s comment. They have worked just in AEW for 3 1/2 years and they haven’t been told or picked up not to do that crap around the ring. That’s on them and the company!

RUSH considers Billy Gunn a mentor behind the scenes and didn't like Jungle Boy's rude comment about Billy at a recent Q/A, so he took it out on Jungle Boy. Rush is old school, respects the veterans and did it for Billy.

This is why you listen to a whole video instead of listening to parts because it gets misconstrued in a lot of ways. Jim Cornette did not say it like that. He actually gave Mexican wrestling respect, but then said that how they do things now days very extreme. Anyone going for the heavyweight title should never get beat down like that. That’s insane.

This is one of those cases where i don't care whether Cornette was right or wrong (in principles) - that was so beautiful to watch, so unbelievable, I was amazed. I want more of those matches with Rush, preferably against Pockets.

Rush and his crew could easily be a top heel faction in AEW and they should be. Instead we get every week Jericho and his goofy gang and every week the BBC.

I had a honor of meeting Mr. Rush in Grand Rapids on ROH show. He came across as very humble and nice guy. I am 150% sure that if Jungle boy, before a match would come to Mr. Rush and asked him not to be too stiff, I am very sure that Mr. Rush would take it easy on him in the ring. Mr. Rush seems to be a very nice and intelligent man. I have heard stories from MANY wrestlers that most of their opponents would take it easy on them if asked politely in respectfully. Al Snow mentioned that one time he was wrestling Bruiser Brody, and he just came up to him and asked him not to be too stiff as he (Snow) was still sore from previous day, and even Bruiser Brodie, who was known for stiffness, according to Al Snow "Took good care of me and kept his word". I am very sure that Mr. Rush would do the same. And yes. Mr. Rush is better then 99% of AEW roster. He should be in a championship picture. The only guys on AEW roster who come even close to Mr. Rush are: Pentagon, Ray Fenix, Brian Danielson and Takeshita. Everyone else is not worthy of cleaning Rush's shoes and carrying his luggage. I honestly believe that Tony Khan is racist, he is NOT pushing Luchadores, and Luchadores are the BEST part of AEW.

great points. rush actually knows how to work and jungle boy only knows how to memorize sequences of moves. rush is old school and was doing what he’d normally do, but at the same time he must’ve known jungle boy wasn’t gonna give it back to him and he was like “welp, not my problem this jabroni can’t work”

They needed to tell Rush hey, you gotta be generous in this match, this is the match before a huge world title match, and take your licks. Rush just looked great, I think he did what he did to showcase himself and threw caution to the wind. Rush is fucking fantastic.

In AAA he was actually undefeated.... LMAOOOOo too who? El Pollo Loco?? El Payazo Rojo?? Nobody could match up with Rush in AAA, so it makes sense that he was undefeated.

Rush always has good matches against people who aren't scared of giving back to him. That's how you actually have a match that feels intense with agency. Jungle Boy was expecting Rush to pause and wait to get hit, which is the modern indie style. Obviously just my mark interpretation. Though to be fair, Rush did no-sell some of Jungleboys offense. Which makes me think it was either planned to be this way, or he went in for himself.

if konnan listened to the whole clip, not that he has to, he would've heard jim bury everyone for the post match beatdown of jb, and shutting down darby who came in for the save. it was a cold match with a post-match beatdown and a thwarted save. corny buried the promotion more than rush himself for signing off on that sort of thing on a ppv go home show where 2 of the guys who're in the title match got made to look like shit.

No DI. His issue was not Perry gettin his ass whooped. Any other day, he would welcome it. His issue is that Rush ruined JB credibility and made him look weak ahead of the PPV Title Match. For absolutely no reason at all. Put him self over for absolutely nothing

If you’re talking about Rush, how he looked, what his style is, etc., you are proving Cornette right! Jungle Boy is in the title picture, Rush isn’t. As Jim famously said, “Who the hell are we pushing!”

Lol they admit they didn't listen the entire clip, thus missing Cornette's actual point. Cornette's main issue was that Jungle Boy was in the upcoming *World Title* match at the PPV. Therefore making it waaay worse that Rush was out there squashing him.

I'm a fan of RUSH he truly comes off as authentic. That being said that was the wrong call putting him in the spot to lose to a talent like Jungle Boy. RUSH took look at him and was like fuck this! He goin learn today! Nobody can protect you better than you.

Disco's point makes sense, but it doesn't negate Corny's. If Rush wants to put the boots to someone who's not "giving it to him" the right way, he needs to pick his spots, Jungle Boy was on his way to wrestle for a world title and he looked like an absolute pussy in there. Also K-Dog saying Rush was a big star in ROH is fuckin' hilarious.

Really interesting conversation, but Jim was right. Konnans context on Mexico is cool, but this match was in the US. Rush hasn't been booked as anything and Bungle Joy was due to be in the 4 way. Cornette even said they could have used this to pull him out of the 4 way and Rush could use it as a way in.

I didn't know who Rush was until AEW, but I quickly became a fan. I love his no wasted movement aggression heel style with the right amount of arrogance. He should be at or near the top of the card.

I truely believe it can be fixed with more ring work together, RUSH just 😂 funny enough dial it back a tiny bit and Jungle Boy Jack Perry needs to give more emotional effort.

A big part of the issue that was taken with things was how that match went and the no selling on JB right before JB is wrestling in a main event match for the world title. Basically, shouldn’t be making a guy look so inept like he did when he’s in a match like that coming up. But he also mentioned there were issues with JB and how green he was and that he should have fought back but couldn’t. And a lot of his issue was that knowing that he couldn’t prevent it that the agents should have ensured that Rush didn’t work that way since JB couldn’t do anything about it. He also had issue with things Rush did on top of not selling that were cocky and made JB look like total shit like putting the foot on the chest for a pin. But I don’t think anybody believed JB had a chance before that anyways so it didn’t do all that much harm anyways but it did ensure that nobody thought JB would have a chance in hell whatsoever which again was the bulk of the issue Corny brought forward over anything else.

Rush is getting over in aew. It's noticable that he's a good worker with a hard hitting style. I agree with konan a producer needed to be involved.

I think these are some good guys and they are working on making a great product here and it’ll get better when they stop interrupting each other, but just the fact that they post videos for their podcast based on better more successful podcasts shows they are accepting that they aren’t as good as Jim Cornette show. That’s true anyway so better to acknowledge

I kinda wonder if Rush was taking his frustrations out on Perry after the junk he said in regards to who he’d get his advice from. Forgot who he mentioned but I know he wasn’t about listening or taking advice from veterans like Billy Gunn. If Rush is as old-school as he seems, maybe that’s why he came across so aggressive despite how he shouldn’t have been as Jungle Boy had an upcoming PPV main event match coming up.

I'm all for vets teaching guys in the ring but there was a time and place to do it. It definitely hurt my perception of JB going into Double or Nothing.

Jungle Boy is not a top guy and doesn't even look like one. Rush looks like a million dollars, wrestles very well and is more believable as a top guy. AEW paying him to flounder there.

I agree with everything you all said I'll just add, what terrible terrible booking. By a terrible booker. Either don't book Jungle Boy against a guy that can do this to him or if you want this match after he didn't win on Sunday have it sometime after when Jack isn't in the main event. I could see Jim being right and Rush is sent home or maybe not but the booker Tony Khan needed to apologize to Jack Perry because Tony screwed up.

I first saw RUSH in Ring of Honor, and that is what his matches looked like most of the time. The match with Moxley was similar, but Moxley was into that and gave it back. Jungle Boy does not know how to wrestle in a traditional and probably cannot really fight, so it looks like a kid getting beat up by an adult. Nothing in AEW is called in the ring so they had to go over this in the back, and Perry probably just was shaking his head yes and did not understand what was going to happen, or he figured it would get over and went along with bumping like a jobber because again he does not know any better.

Ahh yeah but the problem is that they didn't wrestle in Mexico. They worked in America, where it's more etiquette based.

I don't rate Jungle Boy, but he was a contender for the world title, so he should have looked strong going into the match. Rush's job was to make him look good not like a punk. Jungle Boy shouldn't be pushed though.

It reminded me of the Cena JBL match.. If you gonna book a guy like he's fighting from underneath. You got to book him wit somebody like rush to make it look like it and be safe about it. Did The boy get hurt? No. No issue. You're the under under dog. you never gonna look great and be believable. Rush make it look like he can take a beating, He did his job.
