After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato's disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Actually if you read the light novel, there's a reason why she would use explosion against that specific monster... but yeah that was a horrible time to use it, somebody would seriously need to catch her, what if she slipped off Aqua's parachute? Unless it's blessed with a super-stick coating during emergencies.

This opening is absolutely amazing! Perfectly depicts the group's dynamic and their out-of-the-box way of solving problems. But honestly, the real reason I love this show is that it reminds me of the common denominator that your favorite RPG game with your friends will have. You will expect an exceptional story from your GM at first, but then everything devolves into your characters being barely functional idiots making terrible choices. Soon, the real thing keeping the game together will be your bonds as friends and every joke you can think of. CHEERS!!!! *drinks mead, fails constitution save, falls unconscious, begins 'the hangover' arc*

The reason this is one of my favorite OPs is because it does an AMAZING job of capturing the what the anime’s about; A group of strange misfits doing unorthodox things to accomplish a crazy goal... And yet through hardships and strange relationships, they work together to succeed. It’s why this will always be one of my favorite anime’s/light novels. This opening is perfect

@@mrbarefootbogan6254 well she DID defeat the Destroyer and helped defeat the Dullahan, and she resurrected Kazuma several times when he died; the Shogun, the choker, etc, and she helped put undead souls to rest, like when she helped that lich who was the husband of a princess. She isn't COMPLETELY useless. To put it simply, trouble follows her wherever she goes, but she can be a huge help under the right circumstances.

KonoSuba is one of the only animes not embarrassed to show the somewhat cringeworthy aspects of the real show into the opening, which makes it that much funnier, unlike all the openings that make the anime look glamorous, the KonoSuba openings represent the show for what it is. There's tons of little things that really capture the personalities of the characters-Aqua especially. She runs around with her arms in the air, she's the only one enjoying the dance, she stupidly runs ahead of the group only to get attacked an needed saving, flailing while falling etc. The animators did a fantastic job.

This opening blows the first out of the water. It just shows how unexpected the success of the first season was and that they're embracing what they've gotten popular for. The first opening is pretty, but it almost feels generic. The 2nd has found its identity.

This is one of my favourite OPs to any anime ever. It is basically an entire episode's worth of an adventure cut down into a 1:30 opening. It has multiple gags, it showcases everyone's abilities (Aqua's healing, Kazuma's thieving skill, Megumin's explosions and Darkness' stamina) and the song itself is so catchy it is such a bop.
