you didn't mention this in the video: in the game Paper Mario the thousand year door, a koopa troopa named Koops helps Mario to finish his quest and to found the seven crystal starts but hey, it's totally okay and great video!!

In the Mario power tennis intro, when Wario and Waluigi are shooting bombs at Mario and Luigi, Koopa Troopa along with Diddy kong start swatting bombs away with their tennis rackets, helping Mario and Luigi fend them off. That alone shows he’s not a villain but rather an Ally to the Mario brothers

I can surely agree with that one. Also I kinda like Koopa Troopas as a character, mostly the ones that go racing and on party they are always my second choice after Luigi :D

Here's my theory on why in the Mario Bros series the Koopas can kill Mario even though they are not bad guys: Bowser injected venom into them without them noticing. Every enemy has this venom injected into them in order to make them kill Mario, but not all of them are evil, they just aren't aware that they have venom inside them and can kill Mario
