I'm from Harlan County Kentucky. Back when I was young I am 58yrs old, that's the way we had to go to get to families house. I hated swinging bridges and still do

Been across that many a time, lived in Libby. A teenager took a dare and jump off it into the river, he was found days later in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Turkey Run State Park in Indiana has a swinging bridge that we take to home the beautiful area. Love it!

And the water is half what it is in the Spring! 😁 It took me 1/2 an hour to get across that bridge because I froze about 1/3 of the way across. But I made myself do it. I was terrified of heights over water and chose this bridge to try to overcome it. 😮 I did it. And made it back across.

Oh, come on, Stan. The bridge never fails. Well, hardly ever. At least, not a lot. Not as much as it used to, anyway. :) Actually, I don't think there's ever been an issue with it. I grew up there, and have crossed it many times. It is a little disconcerting, though, because we're so accustomed to the ground beneath our feet being solid. Just be glad there weren't a bunch of kids running back and forth on it.

Good afternoon Stan. Beautiful view of the falls. Swinging bridges not my cup of tea. That was one smart dog . Even it did not want to cross the bridge. Kept wondering how many people could cross that bridge at one time without snapping. Did not see any signage around. Be safe and be well.

You think that was scary? You ought to see it back in the day. It was two boards and a piece of rope. I was on the middle of it back in the day and my 2 uncles decided to start swinging it with me in the middle.

My daughter and I got on one of these once..half way through there were holes and missing boards and it was moving a bit much. We got to the end of it and there was a sign that said Bridge Closed Due To Construction..someone had removed the sign on the side we started on. It's a wonder we made it without falling in.🥸
