Sasnak here. I'm a retired long haul trucker who spent 35 years on the nations highways.....mostly interstates. I have over 5 million miles under my belt. Now that I'm retired i spend my time exploring the 2 lane highways and remote back roads, mainly the ones I couldn't explore in the big rig. Your welcome to jump in the passenger seat and ride along. We'll discover small town USA and maybe just find our way to your hometown.

Its a 9 speed with high and low. If you can drive a 10 speed, push instead of pull on your first upper range shift. You're good. Dont stab, adust your rpms and slide it in gently. Slower clicks means you're almost there.
I'm watching this after my first lesson today driving an 18 speed transmission. My shifting was terrible! 😂. I'm watching this for what I'm not doing right!
In the UK produce like that would be delivered on a walking floor trailer, we don't have trailers like that where the produce comes out the bottom, well not what I know of.
I didn't know until yesterday, that in American trucks you don't use the clutch for every gear change, like we used to over here in UK and Europe in older lorries, i think more lorries where automatic after 2010ish
@letstrythisagain5096 the European name for a tractor unit. And what's funny about that!? And it's been called a lorry alot longer then you to call it a truck, 1896 the first LORRY was invented in Germany, Damlier.
I just stumbled across this because I was curious how to shift an 18 speed and saw some other videos. I'm not a trucker but I love the road and I think it would be amazing to run the country and see all the things he sees. Its a job but you might as well love it!
Grew up and have been over this pass a million times. Well that may be an exaggeration but we used to go up to Denver for for track basketball trips all The time time in high school. Dan Huntington was our bus driver he was the best of the best to drive a school bus over this in a blizzard takes skill. I my self have driven over it 100 times and I always respect the road. You have to know when to break, when I was a teen one time after the hair pin curve my breaks were glowing red that was in a little care. I have become a much more experienced driver since then. And gain some speed then slow it way down then gradually gain speed then tap the breaks. Just how you explained. In a truck you have to take this low and slow just like you would cook elk haha. Thank you for the video. And loved treasure falls such a beautiful hike.
I got it right $600 i been trucking for 28 yrs I hade that problem on 1992 379 Pete I new that was the problem I got it right again 😂😂not showing off just experience 😊
