Exactly like whenever i see such a video that korea is save ... statistics about violence against woman, hidden cameras, Korean guys r*ping foreigners, making them drunk or whatever ... not to mention the hate against woman and feminists over there
Exactly, plus it doesn’t matter where you are in the world. there’s always darkness and toxicity in all parts. anyone could come out of nowhere and try something with you. there’s always some kind of crime going on in korea too 🤷🏻♀️
My home town is extremely safe too. I can sneak out at 2am and it's still the safest place ever. For anyone wondering, I live ln a small island south of England. It's so safe and cosy and just full of sweet elderly people or friendly teenagers my age, and during the summer it's just amazing. England isn't just about London, there's so many cute countryside towns you should visit if you're worried about safety
You are in the glorious land of the democratic people’s Republic of Korea! Do not be afraid it is extremely safe and not totalitarian also did you know that Kim il sung invented the hamburger

I lived in Japan for many years and at first I thought it’s a safe country nothing will happen to me so walked around at 10pm (actually waiting for my sister to finish her job) and immediately felt like I was in danger with men around me and approaching me. NEVER EVER LET INTERNET FOOL YOU
@ca8547 except Qatar. Walked alone as a woman 11 pm multiple times and it was super safe. My mom will never let me walk alone even in the morning or afternoon in Malaysia but any time in Qatar is fine
@@DylanMarx-vw8zeyou sound like my friend who tried telling me NK has a better quality of life and more freedoms than the US. Westerners love simping out for dictatorships in the East and pretending its better in these places where if you say the wrong things your entire family has to pay the price, where electric is turned off half the day, where only loyal militarists get to live in the cities, where theres millions of starving citizens. If you think they arent hiding a ton of stuff from tourists then you're really gullible.
It's the same in Japan. Most convenience stores have a sitting area with a microwave. I've been told it's looked down upon if you eat your food outside on the street while walking.
I like how the caption is about the safety of Korean streets but I’m just here like damn, I wish I had a walkable convenience store in near me in the suburbs
Korea is safe but the laws there r crazy you can literally murder someone but if you’re under the age of 13 you’ll get away with it and have no punishment the worst you’ll get is a 2yr youth detention center and it’s not even bad they serve good food and have entertainment idk if the law was changed but it been like that for years
@@korsarz95 Lotte Tower is a testament to it too, right in the heart of Seoul, penetrating the skies, filled to the brim with consumers. Nightmarish. That said, Koreans are the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Their society is unfortunately becoming status-symbol based. But they're still cool so it's fine for now.

Because it feels freeing. Women are scared at all times for their safety even in day light let alone midnight. To be able to go out in dark without any fear is any woman's dream.
So grateful she has one headphone side not on her ear I don’t think people understand how important it is to hear your surroundings just as much as visually seeing it. EDIT : stawp y’all r giving me so much attention for what 🥰
😭I wanna like your comment but it’s at 420 so I’ll comment instead I 100% with you, no matter how safe an area is a predator will take advantage of that so better safe then sorry
@@lunagoodhart5489no tbh it’s really not unless you know for a fact you’re literally alone or extremely safe. Other than that, you always gotta be able to hear as well as you’re seeing.
I'm sure she's well aware that feeling safe doesn't mean she's out of harm's way. But it must be such a relief to feel even just a *little* safer doing something like this. I'm jealous.
@@calicowolff u didnt know? Every where u turn there are young boys singing to themselves and perfecting their dance moves . Same with females. When ur there it’s like living in a never ending concert. That’s why it’s so safe
As a Korean I do not recomment for a single woman to do this at night or dawn. It rarely happens but some drunken person might cause a trouble near her.. In any country, going outside at late night is not recommenadable.
same, very true as well. but...sometimes something can be too nice, too convincing, and even like rn, it could too quiet 💀👀 keep safe children and take care of yourselves, family, relatives, and friends (mostly depends on your age, like if your under 13 then keep yourself safe and take care cuz u prolly can't do much. I'm not doubting on what u can or can't do cuz I could always easily defend myself and others at 10, I'm jus sayin. 👍)
@@kpopfan4982safER. Still not a safe country. My cousin got assaulted in a club. No one did anything and pretended not to see. Even her friends were too scared the guy friends might notice them if they get too close to help. At least, that is what they said. You guys think everyone here is like the fantasy idea you have of idols or actors. Lol. Even some of them are not always what they portray. And don’t get me started on going to school here. Some kids make sure you do not feel safe at all if they target you. 🙄
I remember growing up in South Korea (dad was in the Army, stationed at Camp Casey) and my parents had no problems with letting a little 11 year old me out at 11:00 PM to go hang out with friends, South Korea is by far the safest and friendliest place I've ever been and is the only place I've ever felt truly at home.
God damn that last line hit. I was at Osan back when I was a kid and it’s where I grew up. Not where I was born but where I made my first memories. It’s as close to a home as any of the other 13 places I’ve lived. But back in the states, I hesitate when I’m asked where I’m from cuz my intimo answer is Korea. Not really taken seriously coming from a white guy.
What is this a joke this more is a convenient store like a 7-Eleven do you know the one where you can microwave your noodles by the toothbrush grill, a hotdog, then eat it at the counter across from the gas pumps
It be like that sometimes especially in Vietnam when you are near the Circle K or 7-Eleven. You just have that urge to walk down the street and eat at the convenience store and I don’t know what it is about it that makes it so special but it is.
Well of course there can always be bad people but I can tell you as a person that lived in germany for almost 24 years and lived about almost one year of that in the usa… the difference in security was major it was also the first time I heard gunshots ever and it became a daily occurrence which in germany you can’t even picture at all. I can literally walk around at 3 am at parks and have nothing happen to me here but in usa you walk in a park in broad daylight and some weirdo already tries hitting you up.
@@rainbowbritebrini2150 exactly! People don‘t realize that that so called freedom of owning a gun is actually their biggest issue. I‘m 100% certain if people in the US had better gun laws and of course better healthcare options so they can have access to therapy almost all of these issues would be resolved. Even putting school shootings in comparison… we don‘t have that happen in germany.
Everyone wants it to be safe, but only east Asian countries are willing to do what it takes to keep it safe. Ever notice how Korea is made up of only Koreans?
Yea not in korea 😂 Asian respect is different and even “gang” members respect the public people and last thing they want to do is harm an innocent bystanders. The most she’ll find maybe a creep whos drunk but dont even have to worry about them cause they already passed out by that time 😂 man i miss korea
@@hazelluong2954 thats basically anywhere but compared to alot of places a couple of stabbings aint like 30 + ppl dying every second like here in the states
@@worldwidegamingbros5127 No that phenomenon is not happening in the US yet. You have clearly not watched or read the news. The stabbings are seen as a challenge to be completed ‘Stab 3 people at the subway today’ for example. The motive is nothing personal or psychologically complicated which is extremely disturbing and what’s scarier is they influence more attacks of the same nature to happen
@@hazelluong2954 yea thats sounds like NY or england everyday 😂 but no joke thats not cool. Just saying i will feel safer with someone trying to stab me than somebody shooting at someone else and i get shot or someone i love get shot for no reason. 90% of murders are for petty to no reason. Ps the reason it hasnt happened and not gojng to happen in the states is because we have a gang/gun phenomenon. 8 year old kids being indoctrinated into the gang life and killing 20-30 ppl by the time they are 10 years old. Thats what we are dealing with in the states. Cant go to the movies, the corner store, cvs, or any stores without watching my back for no reason of my nature and someone a shootout can happen at any min in time, especially NY right now. So yes we srent dealing with stabbing because they will be shot before they would be able to actually stab someone.
Even if Korea is “considered safe”, it doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be aware of their surroundings. My country is considered safe as well, however, it only takes coming across a person with bad intentions. Always look around, especially at night. Stay safe guys.
When we went on a trip to Japan for a few days I was surprised because people there have so much TRUST. They just leave their bikes without a chain/lock before going to work/riding the train, and there are umbrella sharing services where there's an umbrella storage near each train station, and you can just take one if it's raining and then drop it off at a different umbrella storage near a different train station once the rain stops... here in this country, my sister went to the library for 2 hours and when she came outside to pick up her umbrella it was gone LOL

As 48 years old Korean, I never thought about safety in living because safety makes so much sense. when I was young and walking streeet after midnight in 80's, nothing happened. Nobody worried about thing like that back then as far as I remember. I was shocked that safety in Korea is sometimes surprising to other countries people.
