요즘 양양은 말씀 하신것처럼 약간 "퇴폐적인" 곳이 맞죠. 신기하게 그걸 딱 알아내시네요. 원래 조용한 동네였는데 서핑이 유행하면서 외지 사람들이 몰려온것이고 밤마다 술집들 난리여서 원래 주민들이 괴로워 한다고 합니다. 바다면 경포 해수욕장이나 안목해면 등 가시면 관광으로 바다 보러온 사람들 많습니다. 아마 서핑에 관심없는 사람들은 양양은 거의 안갈거예요.
I was amazed by Emily's insight. Yangyang, to be exact, is one of the most gentrification places in Korea. Originally, it was only known to surfers, but it became a place where a lot of young people who simply wanted to hang out gathered because it became popular with young people on social media. They visit Yangyang thinking about Ibiza in Korea, so it is quite noisy and sometimes causes problems with existing residents. Also, since there is a lot of capital coming in from outside, local governments like it because of the revitalization of the economy, but the residents who lived there from the beginning have an atmosphere of being wary of outsiders and confrontation because the peace is broken.

Korea is a place where continental and maritime cultures coexist. The East Sea is the Pacific Ocean, so it's a deep blue sea. If you love the ocean, you should definitely go to Jeju Island.😁
양양에 군인이 많은 이유는 동해안이 북한의 게릴라식 해안 침투에 몇번 당한적이 있어서 그래요. 60년대에는 북한 무장공비들이 삼척까지 침투해서 민간인들을 다수 학살했고, 90년대 강릉에 북한 잠수정이랑 무장공비 침투로 한국 군인들과 민간인들이 죽은 아픔이 있죠. 그러함에 남북한 사이의 거리에 상관없이 모든 동해, 서해의 해안은 이를 경비하는 군인들이 많이 배치돼있습니다. 그래서 일부 동해안은 매일 일정 시간(밤 9시 정도?)이 되면 해안에 민간인 출입을 전면 금지시키고 다음날 아침까지 군인들이 해안을 순찰하고 경비하도록 돼있습니다. 한국의 동해, 서해안은 군사 작전에 있어서 사실상 DMZ나 마찬가지라고 보시면 됩니다.
East coast of Korea is kind of like West coast of Oregon, Northern Californatia, Washington. Beautiful but the water is pretty cold. But I loved East Coast of Korea. Beautiful. Busan has white beaches with warm water.

11:19 That is actually a military vehicle. Yangyang has a few army bases around. Army bases not only exist near the border areas but also all over South Korea! As you can see that vehicle does not have a plate on it, which also indicates that it is a military vehicle because military vehicles do not have plates in South Korea.
This place is call Hajodae. it's kind of quiet sea side that even Koreans don't go often. Seeing this place on video reminds me of the memory of visiting with my friends during the summer vacation of high school. It's my favorite place!!

In Korea, it is very dangerous to climb on tetra pods lying on the beach. If you trip, you could get stuck and not be able to get out. Please be careful. : )

It is popular to have a big cafeteria in Korea these days... There are many larger cafeterias in Korea... It has nothing to do with building a hotel. Friends It's getting bigger and more sophisticated to attract young people's attention... Korea is "Various and famous, from small cafes to huge cafes!".. including Japanese people close by. People from Asian countries around me One of the purposes of coming to Korea to travel is It is to experience various cafeteria culture in Korea. If you have time, I hope you visit "Jeju Island" too... In "Squid Game," she also said she wanted to go to Jeju Island before she died.
The peoblem is that why they r so expensive considerin their quality. Cause of gentrification.. If u go to other asian country they r not so like that.
the restaurants by the beach, usually youngsters go there and even local grannies and grandpas go their and chill around hahhaa and Yangyang has only 30k people with the bigger size of Seoul, so yes very less populated and that’s why it’s deserted. also the trees are for defending strong wind from the east sea;)

양양에서 군인을 많이 본것은 휴전선 근처. 접경지역이라 그럴겁니다. 누군가 투자하는거 같은데 미스테리라 하셨는데 젊은층에게 요즘 핫한곳이고 서퍼들에게 인기있는 지역임. 밤에는 그전에는 없었던 해외여행가서 느껴봤던 야외클럽같은 느낌을 즐길수 있어서 젊은 사람들이 몰리고 핫함. 사람이 몰리면 당연히 돈도 모이는 거라봄. 시골에 건물이 들어서고 땅값이 올라가고 투자를 하니 현대화되고... 자연을 좋아하시면 내림천이 있고 향로봉이있는 강원도 인제를 추천드림. 군생활을 인제에서 했는데 향로봉 정상에서 보는 자연이란 와우~~ ( 군사지역과 가까운곳의 자연은 개발을 할수없음. 그런지역을 가보시면 정말 와우~~ 그럴거임.민간인은 갈수 없을건데 제가 백룡수색대 있었는데 군인말고는 들어갈수 없는 자연은 와우~~ 정말 외국인에게 보여주고 싶음. 진심으로...) 분쟁지역에서 굉장히 역설적인건데 휴전후 인간의 발걸음이 없는 군사 분계지역 직접 보시면 비현실적인걸 느낄수있음. 장담하는데 아마존? 세링게티? 개발로 파괴되는데ㅠㅠ 인간의 손길이 닿지않는 전세계 유일지역이라봄. 그곳에 가보시면 세계 어디에서 느끼지 못한 자연을 느낄구 있을거임.( 유튜브가 잘되서 울나라 군대에서 홍보를 위해서 두분 최전방으로 데려가면 좋겠음. 심비한 경험을 할수 있다봄.)
