Thank you so much for your show. It can't be easy. You're using your valuable resources to provide entertainment for your viewers. I really appreciate your efforts. Regards
Thanks so much for your videos as it has good to see what skiing is like in different parts of the world!! It seems like all piste would be green or blue in Europe (consistent gradient make them suitable for carving though), and natural snow is pretty much non existent, but hopefully that is much cheaper than skiing in Europe and North America.
Thanks so much for the comment! 🙌 Yeah the slopes are all really mellow here. I don't think there are any black diamonds but it's definitely cheap and there are lots of fun things to do at the resorts! It's definitely a different a different experience than North America or what Europe must be like!
You guys have been all around Gangwon-do! Enjoy your stay! Btw, Yujin's Korean is so clear, very easy to understand (for a non-Korean listener). Stay safe.
Hi Matt! I just found your channel and I love it! You two are a lovely couple! I was wondering though would you guys ever consider doing a Vlog on theme parks in South Korea or a series on Busan and Jeju Island? Just a thought! Stay safe and awesome!
Hey Kabby thanks a lot for the kind words! 😊🙌 We cycled around Jeju and have a few videos of our trip, but it's more cycling focused and not so much about vacationing in Jeju so we will have to return some day for a vacation and film! We will keep making videos about other areas in Korea too for sure! Appreciate the input!
@@lostthenfound I got really messed up by the vaxx (severe adverse reactions) and had a 5 month recovery, ER visit, etc so I'm terrified of getting the sickness that's currently going out.
@@eliastv5498 oh my that sounds really harsh. I'm sorry you had to go through that and I completely understand why you wouldn't want to risk it. Did you make a full recovery from the vaccine?
@@lostthenfound I lost my job but Korea will compensate me and I've got a new job lined up that will be socially distanced. Feeling 98% about 6 months after. Worst health experience of my life by far. Continually silenced online from speaking about it. My health: thankful to have it... My mind: changed forever.
@@eliastv5498 sorry to hear about your health and your job, that must have been a really scary scenario to deal with. I hope the world can get back to being a place that you can feel safe in again! Also glad that you got compensated and found a new job!
Hahahah!! 0:48 I could totally relate to that. Nice comparison for gamers. I played too many hours of Skyrim just like that. 🤣 On a more serious note, I'm chocked at Korea air quality. Well, Seoul is a mega city and winds are already charged with microfine dust particles from neighboring country. I'm curious to know... Do you often take into consideration air pollution when you are planning activities in the Seoul metropolitan area or is it just like another foggy day?
Hahaha you know it! 🤣 As far as pollution goes, I used to look at the forecasts and care a lot about it, but over time I had to cancel so many plans from it that I just gave up and started doing what I want to do regardless of pollution haha. My health will probably take a toll, but less than it would if I couldn't do anything psychologically! Haha
i am a Beginner and i went to Muju, was not very beginner friendly. lol, took me nearly 4 hours to get down the beginner slope. i hope to visit vivaldi to try their beginner slopes. the bunny one seems perfect for me. hahha
Hahah yeah Muju has a really long beginner slope. I think it's like 3 km or something. Skiing and snowboarding sure makes us suffer sometimes eh! Haha. If you go to Vivaldi Park, make sure to go on a weekday if possible too!
I’m so surprised, I’m used to mogals and a bunch of powder. I have been looking at Korean ski resorts and am coming to the conclusion that most of these are very easy.
Yes 100% Em! There are no real "challenging" slopes in Korea if you are used to skiing elsewhere with more natural terrain or mogals. Still fun to get into the mountains though just to get some exercise!
Hello! Thanks for the videos, it's really useful to see how Vivaldi Park looks like before I visit! Do you happen to know if people can ride on the gondola to the top if they don't intend to ski or snowboard, and just want to look at the view? (provided they purchase a lift pass)
Thanks for the nice message abc! 😊 It looks like you can ride the gondola without skis/boards for 11,000 KRW for adults and 8,000 for kids (under 14). You just buy the ticket at the normal ticket booth and ask for Gondola tickets.
Hi there, thank you for the video, meanwhile, what’s the best time to visit ski resort? End of Dec-Feb too cold for me i guess 🥲 planning on the opening date, which early dec? Will the snow good enough? For the first timer and i want to have snow sliding too, Is it only available on vivaldi?
Hi there @dwiwahyuanggraeni8909 thanks for watching! If you are going for the opening date in early December, there will only be a couple of runs open, but for beginners it should be enough to have some fun. There are sledding places at almost every ski hill in Korea, and it opened on December 9th last year. I'm not sure the exact date next year though, so you'll have to look at the website or instagram when it gets closer to find out more information.

We have never been to Alpensia, but there is a good chance we will go this December. Our favourite three resorts are these three for the following reasons: 1) Yongpyong - Best all around and most terrain + amazing terrain park. Village is great too! 2) High 1 - Best snow and average slope length. Really modern but no terrain park. 3) Muju - Overall feels like a massive resort and more "traditional" Korean style (a bit older). Really solid all around with an amazing village too.
so you say rent the snowboard there are much cheaper than at the resort right? so what else do i need to rent if i want to play a snowboarding? then after rent the board etc i can just go play the snowboard at the vivaldi park? please answer i really need to know this thank you
Hi there Akeem 420 that's right! It's cheaper to rent at the third party ski/snowboard shops than at the mountain itself. If you want to go snowboarding there you can rent the snowboard, boots, jacket, and snowpants at the shop. You will need to bring gloves and goggles, but you can buy them at the shop if needed.

@@lostthenfound yeah! All mountains around Vancouver are getting pretty busy, but Cypress is definitely the busiest with green runs similar to these green runs in the video. Looking forward to trying the Korean resorts
@@yuguicouple oh wow haha yeah I can imagine! Skiing is definitely getting more popular these days. Seymour used to be pretty slow overall but I think even it's more popular these days. Resorts in Korea don't get much snow but are really fun if you don't go in with high expectations and just enjoy them for what they are! The facilities are really nice at every resort I've been to as well! Have a blast skiing in Korea!! 😁✌️
