Lolol... he went by Paul when he lived in Canada. The name doesnt fit the face, honestly. Most of these idols that are fluent in English and other languages either studied hard to learn it or they were born outside of Korea and went there/back for their careers. Most of the time they werent born in korea. Got a lot of Chinese actors like that too. Like Arthur chen... he goes by Chen feiyu now for his acting career in china.

I think most of them speak some English. I wouldn't say fluent though. Taec and Ahn Yeosop are fluent cause they lived and grew up in the US and Canada. Henry and Nickhun of 2PM, Choi Woo Sik are other actors/idol who are fluent.
My recent trip to Korea leads me to believe that most of the population understands english but are too embarrassed/shy to reply back in english. Felt like everyone understood exactly what I was saying to them.

@@sakshisaini7380 no doubt he is good at english, but he’s still very far from being fluent as compared to the celebrities on this video. It’s still really impressive tho how he’s already great at english despite not living in an english speaking country when he was younger.

Ok Taec Yeons English is absolutely perfect. I didn't know he was Korean until I heard him speak it. My jaw hit the floor when I realized his English wasn't even his first language! I'm American and English is my first language, Spanish second. I can't speak either one properly. Lol.
Guys thats right that Taec lived in Boston for 7years and came back Korea after audition but he's not just fluent in English with perfect accent (which not necessarily everyone who live there has ) but also Japanese .and he could speak Spanish too although he claims he's forgotten it coz he stopped using it for years .also abit Chinese. As his member Nickhun said he's a walking_dictionary 😃.with 130 IQ he's indeed a genius
There are so many more I’m sure… Cha Eun Woo comes to mind immediately. I have mad respect for all those people (universally known or otherwise) who are bi-lingual or know multiple languages 🫶🏼👏🏼👏🏼💪🏽 more power to you!

Well said, but there are a few others who are fluent without the Korean accent when speaking fluent English, and one that comes to mind is Teo Yoo, not sure why he did not make the video or in more SK dramas and movies. Perhaps, he is busy. Interesting how certain English alphabets are not apart Hangul. The V sound in their language is P, for instance, violin in English, and when spoken in their language is piolin. English is the common denominator of all languages, it brings people together in communication.

I agree song Jongki English is straight and understable and wonder if this actors and actresses showed here really fluent in English or maybe they just talk with this clip but not really., there's a lot of them who actually talk English fluently ✌️✌️
@@faibechinramirez9490 Ahn Hyo Seop from what I know is a Canadian citizen (English name: Paul Ahn), Ok Taec Yeon used to be a US citizen until he gave it up to join the military. Park Min Young was an exchange student in the US for 1-2years I think. So, they really can speak fluent English, because they used to live in English speaking countries for years.
There’s also Lee Soo Hyuk, he has been an international model for more than a decade and thus learned to speak English. His pronunciation is very clear.
Park Bo Gom is not so fluent, and I like how I.U. is self taught, took lessons and efforts in learning English and her progress over the years is documented, relatable, and I am so proud of her❤️

Lee Sang Yi's english is so good. I recommend watching the show Besties in Wonderland! He and a bunch of other actors went on a trip to Australia, not to mention Suho (EXO) and Ji Yeon (The Glory) are there also :D
Krystal jung speaks english fluent. Shes an idol and actor born and raised in california w her older idol sister jessica and at a young age i believe in their preteens they moved to korea to become trainees
Not to shade anyone cause i love all of them but ahn hyoseop and taecyeon are the only legit here. Taecyeon literally was an american but he forfeit his american passport to serve the korean army because it was his dream to be an army.
She can but fluent is not the right word. Fluent is for those who were raised abroad and not in Korea . But IU is so damn perfect when she sings english songs. I love her ❤️🫰🏻
Taecyeon grew up in Massachusetts and went to high school here. Bogum is under Black Label so he prob learned with YG artists. Minyoung also attended an American HS like Taecyeon
When ahn yeo seop speaks english i look at him exactly how park bo young looked at him in Abyss. 😂 And tacyeon ❤️❤️ i can listen to him speak english for hours
technically the only one thats fluent in this list is ahn hyo seop as he lived in canada for a decade (& maybe taecyeon tho I haven't specifically looked up his vids), while i'm not saying the other actors/actresses don't know english, their english is somewhat more broken, mostly spoken on a basic conversation level or planned out from a script rather than coming up with answers on their own in interviews etc. I think the more fluent english speakers are moon ga young, teo yoo, cha eun woo, lee ji ah, park eun seok (just listing from the top of my head)
Yeah, she isn't fluent but her English has improved so much. I don't remember if she's self taught but she reads a lot of books to practice her English so she can at least communicate with her international fans 💜
