rly loved watching this with you again!! i would actually love for you to react to other episodes of this show as well, i'd recommend the episode with hoshi and also the one with soobin (TXT) since you've reacted to their music before!! they're super entertaining but also very insightful to their personality (i'd say even more than this one since both soobin & hoshi ended up rly opening up about their struggles)
Thank you for explaining some of the translations. I usually understand I might be missing something because some things are difficult to translate. I was especially curious what they were talking about when they opened the food, something about it being very dark for Youngji. The game Halligalli works like this: all the cards are dealt evenly amongst all players. The cards themselves have fruits on them with each card having 1-5 little images of the same fruit (no card had more that one kind of fruit on it). The players take turns flipping their cards one by one until there are 5 of the same fruits revealed. That can be if someone flips a card with 5 bananas on it for example or if 2 or more cards add up to 5 of the same fruits (one card with two apples and another with 3). It can’t be more or less than 5. The first person who rings the bell when 5 of the same fruit appears collects all the cards that have been played. When one person collects all the cards, they win and the game is over.
I prefer wit, emotion, and intellectually interesting talk shows. I didn't get the charm in the beginning. However, this was like watching a slow-developing train rack. Funniest Video type of feel. Seeing them lose it at a certain point was so funny. This show does have its charms.
Jin before going to military service did like a mini series here on youtube making traditional alcohol with chef Baek Jong-won. It's only 4 episodes long and it's called "취중JIN담 | 진 with 백종원". It is very entertaining and interesting to watch 💜.
She also did a ep with hoshi trust me It's the most funniest ever.... She is actually a carat and her bais is hoshi lol.. Btw svt subunit BSS(hoshi is one of the member) just had a comeback with an album... The title song fighting is a collaboration with her... This song actually became very popular
She is fantastic....You gonon her show at your own risk and Jin was great...she is a comedian 😊 Don't believe I everything and about how much they drink. I'm a Vintage Army fan from Australia 🇦🇺 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I enjoyed rewatching this episode, along with you first time seeing it, especially since Jin is one of my biases. I remember DJJino watching this for the first time too-at first he thought she was crazy, but as time went on, he was having some good laughs & being thoroughly entertained! Youngji’s show went on hiatus after this episode , but just yesterday, she uploaded a new show, featuring Jisoo! So maybe she’s baaaack!!! Pls also watch the Youngji episode with Hoshi. Thanks, John. I also wanted to ask you-I’m sure this is not Youngji’s actual home, but do many small studio apartments like this exist there? It seems to have everything a single person needs, including a washing machine.
Actually, it might be equipped with a washing machine too. Most one room does. That one I am not confident. There are tons of one rooms and studios. Even tiny ones as you see there. Usually for students and singles from other areas. No problem finding these types for 400 or less USD
18:15 lmao its a bit of both. Honestly this was one of the episodes where she was a bit crazier, I think she was just excited as it was her last episode of the season (and with Jin of BTS). Her other episodes are better imo, but this one was still fun. I recommend the episode with hoshi! You might notice a pattern that happens when he gets drunk lol, she also has an episode with soobin from TXT:) I know you've got a lot on your plate currently right now though lol but if you ever have the time I highly recommend!
😂😂😂her show is actually so much fun. She has that much energy regardless of whether she drinks alcohol or not. I can see how it can come across as off putting if you aren't used to it though
32:45 I know that honorifics are very important in Korean culture. My understanding from what BTS have said + from what translators have said about them, is that although Jin isn't a stickler, BTS consistently use honorifics when on camera, in some cases being even more formal than other Koreans would expect from a group of brothers. So, all that said, I think this is why it was kind of awesome that Youngjin dropped the honorifics with Jin. Sure, it was probably unintentional because she was three sheets to the wind, but it still means that she felt comfortable enough to do that with him. Given Jin's personality, it was exactly the right way to put him more at ease in this odd situation. First, she was willing to play the fool in front of him & the world, a role that Jin often takes on himself to put others at ease. Second, they got drunk on cheap booze, played a couple of drinking games, talked some nonsense, teased each other, laughed together & just generally acted like university students hanging out, i.e. typical stuff that people in their early 20's do that Jin mostly missed out on. Third, she didn't just drop the honorifics, Youngjin did a few things that most Idols aren't supposed to do on camera: got drunk, touched his arm, cursed, turned her back to the camera, showed brand labels, etc. None of it was scandalous, but it was all just enough over the line of usual Idol standards to fit with Jin's general vibe of polite respect for tradition mixed with enough mischief to poke fun at authority & at himself. It might sound strange, but I think she did her research, actually listened to him & gave him a unique sort of gift before his enlistment.
A newbie is an English word meaning green or inexperienced. Jin is a 1st class gamer and evented one. Jin used to order some meals in his room and also wine and used to invite Jimin to join him. Of course alot was filmed 😅😅😅😅😅
I loved Jin wrapping the show for her. I struggled at the start because Jin was uncomfortable, but when he relaxed so did I. Youngji really overwhelmed him 🤣
@@komerican-og I barely drink 🤣 I can't remember the last time I got drunk So watching them put away a ridiculous amount of alcohol is both funny and worrying 😂
@@evantesseract737 It was really cringy at the beginning. I can't drink very much, I lack one of the enzymes required to break down alcohol. I think Jin saved the show. He is so sweet and went along with everything.
Watch SUGA'S show Sichitawa, most of the guests bring alcohol and some get a bit anibriated but never offensive or rude. There is always a meal on the table during the interview. 🎉🍷🍸🍹🍺🍻🥂
Thank you for your question. While viewing, the concept of the show was getting clear. Main theme and setting is being kind of rock bottom. The room, broken restroom, and what they were drinking. There were two Chinese liquors. One is the most famous for being the cheapest, and the big bottle is one that I have never seen before. I was just making a guess. I saw many Chinese liquors and drank too many of them but it didn't look on the fancy side. That is all. Because all other drinks prepared were cheap stuff too. Also, I don't think they drank that because they liked it. As the title suggests, they didn't prepare much. So please do not misunderstand my intent. No hate on Chinese liquor or anyone for that matter.
As a Chinese I have to say the alcohol is not cheap AT ALL. This one is a Taiwanese one, and it’s definitely the most classic and most famous one among the Asia liquors. But have to say it’s really strong too, you can see by their faces haha😂
@nicoleyen2538 Oh...thank you. All the other stuff they had were.....uh cheap so wrongly assumed it was cheap. I love strong baijiu.. gotta try it someday. Thank you for your correction. 😋
I haven't heard anyone call me that in ages. 😅 However, I am a bit of an idealist, and I have learned to live with it. There seems to be a lot to lose when you are one.
You don't seem to understand the restrictions of Idol life. Dating by Idols is discouraged. I understand that some companies' contracts actually prohibited Idols from dating. In addition, smoking cigarettes can cause an uproar, even pictures of Idols enjoying themselves in clubs can be a problem. In the case of BTS, they have never been photographed on a date and they are known to adhere to the expectations of an Idol. Since they went on hiatus, they have frequently been seen at movie premieres, fashion shows sporting events and concerts. JHope was criticized by some for performing with an artist that did not meet approval. I am not saying they have no private lives but I am saying they have been very circumspect. I think that the BTS members will not return to the restrictive Idol life. My opinion.
The restriction these days on idol is nothing compared to what it used to be. Some groups couldn't even have phones and over 30 year old Jun from GOD had press conference and cried publically because his dating was discovered. It is getting better. Now, they chose this life and they seem to be very careful. Mostly for Army. Not because they are scared of the company. They are too big and wealthy for that. Also, they promised Army they will be back. Please do not make conjectures here that would make BTS members liers.
@@komerican-og there's a documentary that i saw. I saw that. Some of the idols have to come and say sorry for they been in love. Some idol's fan nowadays understands that they are human and have the right to date but some doesn't.
@John Kim (Komerican-OG) I did not say they would not perform as BTS. I said they would not be I I hope they will be able to live as adult men who love music and to perform. I hope that ARMY did not do back flips if they are able to interact, befriend and/or collaborate with a wide range of people.
But it’s a known fact that all idols date /smoke privately….? Nowadays a lot admit it thru jokes and stuff too. They’re just not allowed during training and debut years
@Harika _ I have not done exhaustive research on this subject. I know that none of the BTS members have acknowledged that they have dating partners, and the media has not been able to verify the existence of any partners. Awhile ago, there were reports V was dating a woman Idol. All hell broke lose among some netizens. I believe their companies even denied the rumors. I have seen news reports of other idols having to apologize for dating. It does seem that a few older Idols who return from the military and do solo work date and marry. My original point was that the BTS members have " delivered" and have not been touched with a dating, marrying scandal nor have they been tagged as party goers. The possibility that V smoked a cigarette while in Las Vegas blew up. In my opinion, if the majority of ARMY must allow the men of BTS to live freely.,
