I always re-watched Suchwita with you to have your insight. Kim Namgil was a nice and classy guy indeed, I don't think it was boring to watch two nice and wise men discuss about their life. :D

Kim Nam Gil actually graduated as the 'Top recruit' being in first place for all 4 tests from the MBC Open recruitment. Actually.. I like how he didn't go deep into the accident here and made it brief and ended with a humourous note. It was a really bad one (It was actually a hit-and-run by a truck and his car was in flames and he had 3 or 4 surgeries) GilStory NGO is really involved in alot of reliefs as well ❤ The current project is reconstructing and improving the living conditions of elderly in the remote areas. He is also goofy and fun like Jin actually. However, he does have a serious and deep side of him too. I love the way Kim Nam Gil presents himself. He is truthful, sincere, humble, respectful and humourous at the same time. He is indeed very classy ❤ Thank you so much for this reaction video. Kim Nam Gil is really such a fine man and I am also impressed with Suga's interview, its my first time seeing him.

What I like most about Suchwita is that the guests determine the tone of the show. Usually shows have a set tone, but SUGA lets people present themselves the way they want to. If they want to be chaotic he let's them be chaotic. If they want to have a serious discussion, he let's the conversation be serious. The only time he takes charge of the tone is when the guest is nervous or uncomfortable. Even the 2 Jungkook episodes were so different - the 1st was fun and unserious and the 2nd one went so much into the craft and his intentions with the album. It's just fascinating to watch people be themselves and I think that's what sets the show apart from the usual talk shows. It's exactly like you said "it's a window into someone else's life". Thank you for all your insights. It makes the episodes even better.

My first ever comment on this channel. Jin said that he joined acting school / graduated in it because of inspiration from watching Kim Nam Gil. During boy with love era, Kim Nam Gil was continously mentioning him , saying that now this chingu is doing much more better than me but i want to meet him cause he dreamed after seeing my drama/ film. And he repeatedly mentioned it. In an award show, they could meet only for a minute or so and with covid restrictions it was very less. Later on, they met and he invited him to his movie premiere and namgil never left jin's hands and he introduced each and every guest to him. You can find all of these clips when you search ( him mentioning, them meeting etc) and it's quite heart warming to see them being close now.

Jin's also known to have much older hyung actor friends (Jin got his degree in Arts and Acting from Konkuk in 2017, he also attended Hanyang Cyber university postgraduate, he actually graduated with many famous actors, so he has a lot of actor friends.) so I believe Jin's personality makes it really easy to get closer to him because he can be both serious and funny.

I'm actually enjoying the real conversation, as opposed to light entertainment that is easily forgettable. US talk shows set the bar low. They mostly focus on amusing anecdotes, or topics that are rehashes. One of the subjects Kim Nam-gil brought up is actually something that a lot of people suffer from: imposter syndrome, which is described as self-doubt of intellect, skills, or accomplishments that plagues many high achieving individuals. Yoongi is a very good host, and Kim Nam-gil is refined, without being snooty/arrogant. (He was a guest on Jin's traditional alcohol show with Chef Baek. Jin and Baek remind me of an old married couple.)

I get exactly what you mean!! The first time I watched this suchwita episode I paused to search what 김남길님's Kim Clan is, he belongs to the Gangneung Kim’s, Taehyung and Jin both belong to the Gwangsan Kim Clan.
