In this Seoul travel vlog we are going to eating in one of the best bakeries in Seoul, which by the way is housed in restored hanok. Then we make our way to the neighborhood of Hongdae where Olivia gets her birthday present. Then we make our way to the best Korean BBQ we've ever had and the first one in Korea.

A large number of American brands or products do not mean that "Koreans were culturally subordinated to the United States." The only country they interact with the most is the United States. Korea has a history of 5,000 years of civilization. Korea has taught Japan politics and culture for thousands of years, with the current king of Japan also from Baekje, an ancient Korean country You shouldn't think of Korean culture and history as a subclass of Japan or the United States, just because they went through the colony in 1905-1945.

I guess I didn’t expand on what I meant when we talked about American brands. The reason I brought up the annexation of Korea from Japan and the United States involvement was in regard to the separation of the North and South. When the Soviet Union and the United States offered “to help” Korea by temporarily dividing the country into two, to prevent the Korean War, which ended up happening anyway. Which is why I said “I would think they (Koreans) wouldn’t like them (Americans)” Since the U.S. has the habit of getting involved in foreign affairs “to help” but it’s always for self interest and they almost never make the situation better. We are well aware of the long, rich history Korea has and never think of them as subclass 😊 The opposite in fact! ❤️ Much love for Korea and its culture 🇰🇷

There are many things that foreigners misunderstand about the relationship between Korea and Japan. First of all, from thousands of years ago, Korea was in a dominant cultural and political position in Japan. Then, in the early 1900s, that position temporarily changed. This was a huge shock to Koreans, a shock to Japan, which always called and despised as "small people."

The popping swollen 40 years from the '50s to '90s, out of long history in East Asia, were only the periods Japan was more prosperous than Korea, the period when huge American capitals poured into Japan thanks to Korean war. Both countries are now returning to the original level of where they were... and will continue!

in Korea , you have to go out at night . The nights in Korea are absolutely safe.

I’ve never tasted Korean food but it looks fabulous,, those pastries though 👌 I’d have to hit a Korean gym haha I wouldn’t stop eating. 홍대에서고깃집에서먹은샐러드는대파를채썬 파샐러드입니다.대파,오이,당근등으로 참기름,간장,식초,고추가루로무친샐러드로 고기먹을때 곁들이는 샐러드입니다.거의얇게먹는 한우우삼겹,돼지삼겹살,오겹살등이있습니다.길거리음식대부분이홍대에서나왔다고해도과언은아닙니다.

오래전부터 한국인들은 음식을 맛있게 먹기위해 양념을 발달시켰고, 음식을 오래 보관하고 먹으려고, 발효시켜 먹었어요. 그래서 한식은 건강에 좋습니다. 그리고 한국의 지질구조가 화강암기반 이기 때문에 물이 깨끗하고, 석회성분이 없습니다. 음식에서 물이 정말 중요한데 한국은 물맛이 아주 좋아요. 맛있는 식당은 수돗물안쓰고 산속깊은곳에서 솓아오르는 광천수를 베이스로 요리를 해버리면, 음식맛이 또다른 차원으로 가버립니다. 샤워할때보면 비누도 잘풀려지고 감고나서도 머리가 푸석거리지 않아요.

The bakery looks absolutely amazing and seemingly offers so many options. I'm not a big fan of BBQ as I don't eat meat and I don't eat anything that even touches meat. I do love vegetarian gyoza.

Well....everything in korea is way too much expensive. The strange thing is koreans perfer expensive things to show others that they are affordable even if they are not. So every shops try to raise price .

한국이 미국영향을 많이 받고있는건 역사적인 이유가 있어요 우리가 일본식민지로 있을때 일본에게서 해방시켜준 나라가 미국이고 6.25전쟁을 일으킨 러시아 중국 북한에 의해 공산화 될뻔한걸 구제해준 나라도 바로 미국이죠 그래서 지금 미국과 한국은 다른 어떤 국가보다 가깝고 끈끈하답니다
