嗯,汉语音译基于英语但原则是不会失去东亚语言的底蕴,所以说在东亚语言基础上翻译最接近英语的当然是汉语了,不过个别牌子这个姐姐发音好像也不太对,比如“Rolex”一般汉语名称是“劳力士”而不是“劳来士”😁

The Chinese sounds very odd; I would need to try hard to understand what they are trying to say. In Korean and Japanese; these at least sound similar to how you would say the brands in English. I liked the way the Japanese pronounced the brands.

中文翻译讲求 “信达雅” ,“信” 指意义不悖原文,即是译文要准确,不偏离,不遗漏,也不要随意增减意思;“达”指不拘泥于原文形式,译文通顺明白;“雅”则指译文时选用的词语要得体,追求文章本身的古雅,简明优雅。 Chinese translation emphasizes "faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance". "faithfulness" means that the meaning is not contrary to the original text, that is, the translation must be accurate, not deviated, not omitted, and do not increase or decrease the meaning at will; "expressiveness" means that the original text is not limited to the form of the original, and the translation is smooth and clear. ; "Elegance" means that the words used in the translation should be appropriate and the pursuit of the quaint, concise and elegant of the article itself.

Hermès bags are from France and in French they don’t pronounce the h on the start so エルメス is correct. Though the name comes from a Greek god. The h might have been pronounced in Ancient Greek, but it seems that in modern Greek it’s also not pronounced. At least according to Google translate. It’s a common mistake when people try to pronounce any foreign name or product as in English.
@Maria-pl2lz

Fun fact: nearly all companies chose their own Chinese names for their brands when they came to China, because Chinese ia not a letter-based language. So the Chinese girl was speaking the Chinese names instead of the original names of the brands. It's quite different from in other countries, where they say the same words with their own accents and habits. The Chinese names of the brands are never in a prononciation concept. When you say "xiāng nài ér", you are looking at these three Chinese characters 香奈儿, which is the official Chinese name that Chanel created when they came to China. So we are pronouncing "香奈儿" as "xiāng nài ér", instead of pronouncing "Chanel" as "xiāng nài ér".
