Japchae is probably most Koreans' favorite noodle dish! It's delicious, filled with lots of vegetables and smells wonderfully of sesame oil. My version is full of flavor and you will absolutely love it! 😊
ingredients
200g Korean sweet potato starch noodles (dangmyeon) 200g beef fillet
1 red pepper
1 onion
200g spinach
100g mushrooms
150g shiitake mushroom
100g carrots
1 tbsp garlic
3 spring onions
5-6 tbsp soy sauce
4-5 tbsp sesame oil
2-3 tbsp sugar
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instruction:
1. Bring 2.5 liters of water to a boil to cook the pasta
2. Put the pasta in boiled hot water and cook for 3 minutes. not soaked pasta about 5 minutes longer
3. The strips of meat, then cut into cubes
4. Soak dry shiitake mushrooms for about 2-3 hours.
5. Marinate the meat and mushrooms
6. Cut all vegetables into julienne and strips
7. Heat the pan and add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil. Fry the vegetables separately with a small amount of salt. Put each vegetable in a plate when it is cooked
8. Drain the noodles from hot water and marinate with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil and 1 tbsp sugar
9. Then add to the vegetable mixture.
Put 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon black pepper and 2 tablespoons soy sauce in the larger mixing bowl. MIX.
Try it and see if it needs more soy sauce. In our case we added 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and more sesame oil.
*** You can adjust the amount of sesame oil and soy sauce and pepper and sugar to your taste. It may look like a lot to the crowd, but it wasn't.
