The sky is even brighter up here in the Nordic countries. Above the Arctic Circle there is literally no sunset on the day of the Summer Solstice, but even in southern Sweden the day is more than 18 hours long with almost no darkness at night in late June and early July. I have never been to Poland myself, but I think Poles in general are very good people, freedom loving and individualistic.

You were so right not to go into these clubs. There were instances when men were drugged in such clubs (especially foreigners) and after regaining consciousness, they were discovering that they had spent lots of money on the most expensive drinks in the club. I don't know if these ones in Łódź were really dodgy, but since they seemed off to you, you were right to believe your gut feeling.

I really recomend visiting Kraków. The city's heritage extends beyond its medieval roots. Cracow was once the capital of Poland and the seat of Polish kings, leaving behind a legacy of grandeur and significance. Kraków is famousfor its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. Its well-preserved medieval Old Town, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and iconic landmarks like Wawel Castle. The city is a cultural haven with numerous museums, art galleries, the oldest restaurant in the country "Wierzynek" from year 1364, salt mine "Wieliczka" and the nearby Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp which serves as a somber reminder of the Holocaust- it's a must see. It also offers many public spaces for just strolling around like "planty" or "bulwary wiślane", all in vibrant and lively atmosphere.

As already few people in the comments mentioned. There is a difference between a music clubs in Poland and the night clubs (the one that people try to drag you in and invite you inside). In the music club you can buy alcohol and have fun dancing but in the night clubs like the one advertised in video by those guys you gonna go in and get separated from your friend by few women and suddenly the girl will ask you to buy her a drink. Than you realise the drink that you are buying for her costs instead of 20-30 zloty you need to pay 150PLN just for one. It's a popular scam so need to be aware of that.

The city keeps being renovated and has a specific atmosphere to it. It's less crowded than Warsaw obviously, which I consider to be a positive thing. Also Żabka hot dogs are not that great haha, they're just fine if you're really hungry or craving hot dogs. Gas station hot dogs in Poland are better imo. It's really common in Poland for people to come up to you and advertise clubs. The entry is free but the drinks are expensive and then they try to make you stay as long and make you spend as much money as they can. These people get paid for every person they bring in (most of the time it's pretty girls who persuade tourists). It's kind of shady but nothing to be afraid of. The only scam is the amount of money you spend in such clubs (or if you get cheated). Best thing is just to politely decline (they won't follow you unless you're not clear enough).

People have advised you to choose Krakow, Gdansk, Torun, Wroclaw.... You chose Lodz. In this situation, maybe the next should be Sosnowiec? I don't know what it's like in these clubs now, but once, a few years ago, half-naked ladies would encourage people to buy alcohol, and when the customer lost contact with reality, they'd run up such bills that there would be enough to pay off the grandchildren as well. Even if the aforementioned clubs have nothing to do with similar practices, as foreigners you should be doubly careful.

What's really different about Łódź is that it's a very young town (from the 19th century) and it was built to be an industrial town from the beginning, so it's the only city/town in Poland without the Market Square in the middle of the old part. It has the long Piotrowska street instead which makes it more similar to American cities rather than European.

I lived in Łódź for 3 years when I was studing and I dont like it that much xD There are some jokes about the city but yes it is changing for better but it still not my vibes. On the other hand You should definitely go to Wrocław - for me personally its the best city in Poland and after moving here i just fell in love in this place - and fun fact - there are A LOT of Koreans here so there are many Korean restaurants that I heard are very good. I had a possibility to be in 2 and for me it tasted really good but i have no idea if autentic :) . In Lower Silesia part of Poland You can see a few beautifull castles and old manor houses. Either way have a lovely stay in our country ^^

I don't know why people sometimes ask why I like Ukrainians? They are very nice, aren't they? Of course, Łódź has many more interesting places worth seeing. This is my hometown, and I still don't know all the historical corners. It's a city that constantly surprises with something - unfortunately (recently with the number of renovations). Thanx for vid 🤗Greetings!

Lodz and Warsaw are beautiful but I recommend Krakow and Katowice the most, in Katowice we have really strange events such as the arena looks like a UFO, and Krakow is the second capital of Poland (Warsaw is outside) and a royal city💖

There are most friendly people in Łódz in whole world, on each intersection they ask: "you have a problem?" and be at ease they want to "help" you "solve it" on the spot.

Polish hot dogs are very good, but it depends what they are served with, sausage or kabanos sausage? And if the bun is well baked. I recommend Polish casseroles, with mushrooms and lots of cheese and ketchup, on a delicious long wheat roll ;) ....And don't go to these kinds of clubs ! There they can trick you into very expensive drinks

If it's hot dog in the Żabka it's truely Poland. If you stand near one Żabke store and cannot see across the street another Żabka store you are probably not in any major Polish city. ;-)

I go to the university in Lódź and when it comes to tourism, I don't think there's much to see there, but from a student's perspective there are definitely a lot of clubs, bars and places where you can go out with your friends. And in my personal opinion Łódź has one of the best transport connections in the sense that practically everywhere can be easily reached by bus or tram. During your visit to Lódź, you should see Pasaż Róży if you have a moment, I think it looks quite interesting. I wish you a nice holiday

I thinkt the brightness in the sky there was due to light pollution lol, ie. all the lights at night close by creating a halo of light (which reflects back down from the clouds making the sky seem brighter) Travelling east and west sunset doesn't change, what changes it is travelling closer to the equator or to the poles. Poland is on a similar geographic latitude as Korea so there is not much difference in that (sometimes timezones can play a small part)

I like dancing very much so I go sometimes to clubs but always with friends. I onced went there only with girls but our group was big (9 girls) and we was together all the time. When one girl was dancing with the boy others were watching her if she's all right. It was nice night. But as a girl i feel safer when we go out at night (and to clubs) with girls and boys friends. We never drink too much and i naver go back alone. And i nave naver been in Warsaw in club when entrence is free ( But i was only a few times).

The clubs that you were being persuaded to go into, are usually strip bars/clubs, where entry is free but a drink would cost you around 10x normal price. So unless you want to spend that kind of money i wouldnt recommend.

About the hotdogs, you were disappointed, because you can't just ask for a random hotdog 😅 You have to ask for a hotdog with a specific sausage, kabanos-sausage 😅😃

funny that i always thought of 자장면 / 짜장면 to be just a typical korean style of dish/food... lol.. (even if i knew the noodles are like often in china+japan as well + that the name maybe in china or japan a bit changes but the food / meal is very similar too like the beans thing for example?) omg... 😂 or am i again wrong now? lol 😆 😆 i dunno :) but as usual - it looks soooooooooooooooooooooo yummmmm!!!! 😻😻
