We are taught and teach our girls in America that it is natural, normal and nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed of. We explain different items to use pads, tampons, cups etc.. and I advised my daughter to try them all and use what she liked best. I also taught all of my boys about periods and items used and told them one day they might have to buy for girlfriend or wife. Our bodies are nothing to be ashamed of.

Are guys generally grossed out by it? Most every guy I've ever talked to seemed not too fussy about menstruation. I have found some of the girls I've slept with thought there was something gross about it, though. They thought it was icky to have sex while on their period, for example. Just put down a towel, I say. No big deal.

Well ppl might not know but many ppl who are intersex can present as men and have their period. Or simple be intersex having male chromosomes and identifying as male but have periods. Ppl forget those exist. Not only women have periods

Donghyun seems like such a good guy! It's good you talk about these things with guys too but also women can sometimes be so quiet about it even though it is the most natural thing and happens almost once a month for around half of the world's adult population. It should not be tabu. The ketchup tiktok was about how you think the period is over but then all of the sudden you start bleeding a lot again.

So funny. Back in the day, well before the Internet, we fellows had some mighty strange ideas about what went on. I had to get special parental permission to take a sex education class that taught the differences between male and female reproductive systems and all that that entailed. Also, the classes had to be segregated by gender. Times have certainly changed for the better , is my opinion in this regard.

It's because the signals your brain sends for you uterus to contract (cramp) to shed the lining (your period) is the same signal it would send when you have to poop. So everything is basically getting the signal that it's time to contract/go.

If you can, please consider trying cloth pads as well!! They are super comfortable, good for your skin, and just as absorbent as disposable pads! And they can be customized to be more absorbent, longer, thicker, or thinner.

@Kate Seal there are places to order them online, like Amazon. But if you know your way around a sewing machine or sewing needle, you could always make your own! I made my set of cloth pads a couple years ago and i never looked back. There are countless videos explaining the pros and cons of cloth pads, as well as how to store used pads and cleaning them.

I would also recommend trying menstrual cups, I find that they are the best! They are easy to wash, last YEARS, dont feel wet....

That's all I ever use when I'm on my cycle. So, all this talk about tampons and the effects of them... I have ZERO clue on any of these reactions. Now I'm in my late 20s, I'm still am not comfortable with sticking a small rod up my vag. Not happening.😂 Pads are less of a hassle.

I've never seen stringless tampons, but they do sell ones without an applicator. It might look like there's no string, but it's just bunched up at the bottom before you take it out of the packaging.

as a 22-year-old woman, the only thing relatable for me is the sneeze and 'the check for leaks/outline' part... I have an irregular cycle, I only get like 2-3 periods a year and I rarely get period cramps.

hi, sorry! Hopefully this isn't rude... but if you didn't just get your period this year, I REALLY recommend having a check up. It's irregular to have that number of periods a year, it might be dangerous since there might be something wrong with your body!

That's why you should've been taught when you unwrap a tampon and its still in the applicator, you steadily pull the string for a second to make sure its well-attached, then insert it.

I love the new cast members. Welcome! I totally relate to that one chick who was whispering at first then was yelling about it by the end of the video. When i was in middle and high school (I started at 11) I couldn’t stand to talk about it. Anytime it was brought up or my sister wanted to linger in the women’s hygiene section I’d cringe and run off. Now I’m thirty and I’m just like “YEAH I FEEL AWFUL BECAUSE I’M BLEEDING EVERYWHERE AND I’M SO HUNGRY AND TIRED AND I HATE MY UTERUS.”

I remember crying when I got my first periode. I knew what it was and why it was happening but everything that is sudden and out of control scares me. It may sound weird, but only if I'm willing to lose control I have no problem with not having it. I'm a pretty chill person and don't mind other people deciding. Basically I need to be able to decide how much control I give away. I know... I have issues.
