The base sauce for the red sauce is crushed tomatoes, chillies, bit of lime, and water They add stuff to it depending on where ut is from, some add salt for flavour boost, some add tomatoes paste for a more vibrant red colour and so on

I don’t know if someone has explained this, but this should be the correct way to eat with your hands: After you grab a chunk in your hands, you lower your head and you bring your hand closer to your mouth (instead of bringing your head up and lifting your hand up to your mouth). And this the trick to not get your food messy and all over the place: when you bring your hand in front of your mouth, the tip of your fingers should be right in front of your mouth and *then your thumb will push all the food to your mouth.* I get that this also needs to take some practice, but once you get the hang of it, it’s actually pretty easy! I hope my explanation is clear enough and not that confusing lol feel free to correct me!

When you're eating with hands just use the first four fingers as a spoon and use the thumb to push into your mouth. Don't have to take your entire hand inside 😁 just bring four fingers with food on it near your lips and use thumb to push the food in. Hope this helps all non hand eaters.

Arabic food is quite mild and subtle in flavour in comparison to Indian and Pakistani food.. The flavour notes are more kind of citrus, aromatics and savoury as its mostly cooked using the meat stock so it's all kind of naturally enhanced using whole spices like peppercorns, cardamon, Cumin and cinnamon and lots of Saffron etc 😊
