This guy is a compelling musician, he delivered the best of that keyboard in a few takes. I think it sounds great and fun for the price.

I absolutely love it when a manufacture takes the time to demo a new product so that we can get a picture of what the product does. I actually love this keyboard.

He has the ability to make any keyboard sound amazing

His hands are so fast that the sound comes out of his fingers before he touches the keyboard. They should release this guy.

I have the original Korg i3 that was released in the early 90s. Still works perfectly. Maybe I will get this one to have some modern sounds...

How do you record a beat without background drums/instruments playing already (the built in songs) i want to record from a blank template

Hi this would be nice to have an arpeggiator in this unit as well as assignable Knobs (I cannot believe that there are two Knobs just to tweak EQ - what a waste really). Also, will it be possible to upload styles from the PA series? And: is the sound engine the same as in the EK50 and EX20? Thanks.

Very good demo, thanks for taking the time, most reviews just scratch the surface. I think it's kind of an upscale "fun" keyboard, not a "professional" or "stage" instrument as is so laughingly suggested in a lot of promotional material. Without actual synthesizer capability, the sounds are nice...but boring. And having a host of "59 custom drum kits" and "melody" options is lovely but they all sound like a glorified metronome. Basically for someone taking piano lessons who wants to take their first steps into the digital keys world.

Strange. Why you need the shift key to mute sound? Wouldn’t it be better to use the shift + key for sound select instead and one press to mute sound for live playing?

It’s actually pretty pretty good. A songwriter’s sketchpad with Triton sounds and midi out at a sweet price.

This is a good demo of this new unit. The other ones on YT so far are subpar, at best. This one is much more in depth and shows more sounds being used. I am intrigued by this unit. I have the PA700 already and LOADS of other synths, including Korg, but this unit intrigues me as a bottom keyboard for the bands that I am in. I know that it does not have the functionality of the PA series, but the sounds seem fine enough to be used as a bottom live keyboard for the bands. Does this unit actually have an editable synth engine or are the PCM sounds non-editable? Is the sequencer a full 16-track affair with editing or is it an 8 track (style recording) and 8 tracks of real-time recording over the recorded style tracks? I am also thinking it does not have an Arpeggiator built in? This is not a deal-breaker for me. It is a great time to be alive as a keyboard/synth player :) I also have a question about the XE20, which would also make a great bottom keyboard in a band situation, even though it is more geared toward the consumer crowds. Could you test it with a USB MIDI Host device to see if it can talk with legacy MIDI gear (like older 5-pin MIDI synths)? The idea of the XE20 is a neat one, combining the engine of the EK50 with the piano engine of the B2. Thank you in advance for your reply. Grace, Harry

64 Voice polyfony ? Awwww KORG! We are GOOD musicians out here......Tr 808, a sweet pad sound, a fine guitar timbre and a fretless bass. ....with some shakers, are the ingredients of a soft Slow Jam. But this alloted polyphony will kill the groove.

I'm looking for my first stand alone digital piano/synth workstation so I can quickly make something without needing my computer DAW. It's hard to choose in this price range.

When you swap instruments parts in a style, volume and effect etc, can you save them as a new style? Or when you change the instrument and effect for a sound set, can you save them?

I want to buy korg i3 but i scare about one thing. It is really run on 6 x nimh 1900 mAh - It run all time without turn off ? I have one keyboard who need 12 V like this korg, and it can run on 6 x nimh but when i play and play more hard it turn off. I scare to buy unuseful keyboard. Can you tell me what keyboard is best run on nimh? i read about roland juno ds who need 9 v and run on 8 nimh. What about casio or yamaha?

Hi GuitarGuitar and Kord i3 users, I have an idea to connect korg i3 (ver 2020 , only MIDI OUT) via MIDI with Roland synthesizer (MIDI IN). In this case : (How to configure/menu setup both instruments?) 1.Can i3 (MASTER) play sounds / instruments from Roland’s (SLAVE)? 2.Can Roland play/use sounds / instruments /styles from i3? 3.Can I apply/add /layer an arpeggiator from Roland to i3 sounds? 4. Maybe to get everything I wrote above should I connect both keyboards with USB ports ? One last question, how to prepare (for example based on a MIDI file) and next import styles into i3, are they styles compatible / compatible / similar to PAxxx - which of them ? I will be very grateful for some suggestions ..

Korg finna drop another flagship. I’ve noticed that with all the keyboard manufacturers. They drop a bunch of non flagship, unusual things. Like Yamaha with the MX series and Roland with those lights ass Juno’s, then Yamaha came with Montage, and Roland Broughtthe Fantom back. Korg is most def overdue for a new flagship besides kronos

Why all the old sounds don't you know people are tired of the same old music. How can you make a new song or music with these old cemetery type patches.

Instead of buying this unit,I will go back to buy a used triton keyboard.

Sounds quite 90's vintage with cheesy sounds and beats. Think I'll pass even though it is offered at only $500.

Casio is cheaper and sounds better. I was hoping to find something in this price range but I guess its a roland juno or yamaha mx.
