Korg MonoPoly synth melodies

If you had a spotify account that had nothing but lovely synth jams like this, I would listen to it every day.

I loaned a musician buddy of mine my Korg 770 and Korg Mono/poly 20 plus years ago. He passed last year and they were returned to me. I had no idea anyone was playing this these days. I restored it and I'm trying to relearn them. This channel is my favorite teaching tool! At 67 I need all the help I can get. I've seen you do things on the Mono/poly I never knew were possible. I am running it with a Lexicon mpx 100 I got on Ebay and it sounds pretty sweet! There is a lot of nuance to a lot of these patches so I'm enjoying digging in to it. It makes my tinnitus bearable, I just hope they don't run me out of my retirement community! Lol

Great reminder of what she sounds like ... I need to bring myself to change mine from her current settings before I finally record in tempo to a click track (that arpeggiator for different Osc.s is sublime)! I'm always slightly irritated by that apparent quote on line of Vice Clarke saying it sounds like 4 'cheap monos' (though I can't see the original ref. anywhere which is almost certainly taken out of context) ... I have mine next to a Pro One, Minimoog D, OBXa, C60 and Juno 106, 101 amongst a fair handful of others and it does something that none of them can and certainly doesn't sit in the shadows of any of them ... it sits above the D and the Pro One for me though I love them all. This is a really special synth for me, and your performance says it all. Thank you for the chance to hear it played so well in the hands of another that appreciates it so sympathetically. Bravo.

The thing I love about the paraphonic nature of the Mono/Poly and synths similar to it is how it sounds and plays when you vary the pitch and/or waveform settings of the oscillators in Poly mode. You demonstrated that perfectly here! I don’t personally own a Mono/Poly, but this is something I do often on my DSI Pro 2. The Mono/Poly also has one of the coolest arpeggiators ever, in my opinion. I also think it’s one of the best looking synths out there.

Great job. Creating sounds is no easy task. So many options on the mono poly. Then you have write down the settings in your little diagram book to come back to. I have had one for 30 years, love it.

oooohhh. this was my first proper synth, i bought it instantly when it came out, one week later or so. absolute gem. had to go for the first DX7. but today now that´s seller's regret!

this is superb. i own a korg mono/poly and it certainly has that je ne sais quoi. i'm just in the process on deciding on whether i should send CV from my DAW via Polyend or expert sleepers ES 3. it has a few inputs... (1) pitch (2) gate (3) VCO fm/in (4) VCF fcm in (5) Porta etc. will the Polyend do the job? ES 3 is more deep but i may have to set it up as aggregate device alongside my interface and that comes with a few downsides
