I think the reason these demos sound so good is because they are more traditional in terms of the sounds and composition. The Radias presets are mostly trance and modern dance music based, whereas Vanderson has created mostly true analog-type sounds and tunes, in the realm of Vangelis, Jan Hamer, Tangerine Dream. To most people these days, that’s a “new” sound. But to us who grew up with the synth sounds of the 70’s and 80’s, this music is sonic heaven!
This is a fine exploration of the sounds of the Korg Radias. This is still one of my favorite synthesizers. There are so many hands-on controls on this monster that you can really micromanage the sound and then bring it back by presets. The only down side is many of the stock sounds it comes loaded with are way too much little vocoder bits that are best erased and use for more interesting sounds programmed from scratch.
Vanderson, the sounds you programmed are absolutely amazing!!! I just bought a Radias used about 1 month ago, and I'm incorporating it into my setup - Korg Z1, 01Wfd, Trinity, Korg ER1 and now the Radias. The Radias is a nice electronic synth with a nice 1980's character....
Well this is a good demo, I don't know how to get all thos sounds of it and I have it for 2 years now... Only drawback is its filter, analog bell-like sounds due to self oscillating resonance in the filters is impossible with it...
Your Radias programming skills are incredible! I have bought one now, but still have problems to find the right workflow. It would be verx nice if you could post a video with your way to make this incredible patches! Thx a lot for your inspiring videos
@@SomeDud-lm1mi You're talking about this? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7MSFW8pZ-_4.html I dunno, but hearing that sure makes me want to go play some UT! XAN, "You are inferior!"
Very nice! I like how you think man! Very original and some influences which I think I recognize. Perhaps a little Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Enya in there? Anyways, very, very cool!
fantastic sounds. it appears the radias is no longer available... is there a newer equivalent synth that's capable of similar sounds? are you supporting any other synths with your patches? thx
Świetny ten Radias. Zawsze mi się podobał ten pulpit :D No ale teraz kasy nie ma na kupno niestety ;/ musze jechać póki co na 2 innych parapetach. Pzdr
I realize it's going back almost a decade, but I've recently started using my Radias again and if you are still selling these patches, let me know, and I will place an order. Awesome work!
Hi, Do you know if it is possible to get adressed the four timbres to 4 different midichannels? So I can give them 4 different sequences out of LogicX? You are a master on this synth. I think you don’t use it anymore? Greetings from the Netherlands. You’re welcome!
Excellent demo. So many fantastic patches in your video. Did you create these? I have a radias -r, definitely hearing new sounds here. Do you have patches to sell or share.
