Korg TR disassembly - switches and knobs cleaning - reassembly

I had a TR76 and I ended up chucking it in the bin after 10 years of intermittent playing and repairing the buttons all the while. Very poor build quality and like this one, the buttons broke on the pads. Shame cos it was great otherwise. Even Korg UK tech guy admitted to me that the 01/w type of button was much more reliable -that's why they are still working today without being stripped down once! Thanks for posting though.

What kind of spray are you using?

Nice video, thanks! A (dumb😉) beginners question: that contact spray has to dry up before re-assembling or did you wipe it away?

Thanks. Having same problem of non-responsive buttons with Karma. I think it will be more or less same components like in your TR. Can same be done with rotary encoder, sliders and pots too?

What liquid did you use? I broke buttons trying to make contact work. The knob also doesn’t work :(
