I’m so happy to find your channel. Just starting my Volca journey but already know where I want to head…your videos in the nature with soundscapes blending in are so poetic ❤
Thanks for visiting my channel! The Volca series are battery powered, so I enjoy taking them to the mountains and valleys so I can play them while enjoying nature.
It is indeed wonderful. Speaking as someone who continually fails (but not yet given up) trying to get anything remotely musical out of Volca Modular. 7:54 Subscribed 12:11
The other day I took apart volca modular, I also found a soldering point for midi on the base. It's interesting that the modular, which we can experiment with from the outside and even open it up.
I am glad you feel that way. Some of my works are intended to calm you down, while others are a bit different. (for example, synthesizers and coffee beans together!) I would be honored if you enjoy them.
That is a passive LowPassGate. The gate signal allows you to apply a low-pass filter to the sound of FM. I use LPG to chop FM notes. (Easy to recognize the sound starting around 7:50) I got it at ETSY.com.
Thanks for the interest. the modular receives only tempo. However, what modular receives is not the normal sync signal spit out by sq64, but the trigger signal emitted from the sq64 drum track. By spacing out the triggers on the drum track, it is possible to make modular sequence faster or slower within a single song.
