I love this gadget (and KORG Gadget on Switch in general) but I really, really wish they would have also released a recreation of the Genesis YM2612 sound chip (plus the four SN76489 chip produced PSG channels used by the Master System/Game Gear) for KG! I want to make Genesis style music on it so badly!
@@prinzbach I mean, it is more affordable than the full desktop package, even if the tradeoff is losing a lot of features. I hope to expand to the full KORG Gadget program some day (so I can properly export songs), but I'm busy trying out a lot of other DAWs as is!
@@prinzbachUPDATE: One of the 8-Bit gadgets DOES have a fantastic recreation of the PSG sound chip used in the Sega Master System/Game Gear! Makes you wonder why they didn't take it all the way and include a YM2612 recreation as well.
@@SparkyMK3 If you want to get into real hardware Sonicware just released an FM synth that emulates the YM2612 and it is pretty affordable for a hardware synth. I have their other FM synth, the XFM, and though it has a steep learning curve the thing is so utterly unique and awesome.
C'mon guy if you're not musically inclined, you shouldn't even be showcasing this stuff on RU-vid because you're just making it look like nothing can really be done with it. MAKE A REAL HIP HOP BEAT THAT ACTUALLY SOUNDS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s a fair comment, I see where you’re coming from. My intention was to show what was included in the DLC, not necessarily the full features of the full software package. I’ll be the first to admit that my music composition skills are far from great (which would make for an even worse video)!
