This is an early "My Gift To You" demo, from 1993.It was played at the Huntington Beach 30 October 93.The quality is so-so, but it's still worth to be seen.Enjoy!
@yellowgerbil no korn was not signed before jon joined he just took a big chance moved from bakersfield to LA with a little convincing of course. so jon left his band and a good paying job to join a fledgling band that was making absolutley nothing at the time. all this contributes to the awesome epicness of korn =)
Here's a link this whole show in higher quality, skip to 18:46 for this song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OWzAdQdKm6A.html This was their 6th show, Halloween 93, Jonathan is dressed in drag and munky is wearing a mask
I have a question was molested done only live or did they recorded in studio along with the rest of broken soul, layla, proud n sean olsen. I always wondered if there were more songs recorded during the demo n self-titled albums
all i know is that ross robinson was looking for a band to get his name out. he tried with fear factory but they didn't like it. ross did the demo, sent it to labels or whatever and they used him for their major, and the rest is history.
This demo version of my gift to you is almost lost media, I can’t find a recorded version of it anywhere online and theirs only two videos like this if someone’s old camcorder footage and they sound identical, the songs molested and my gift to you sound completely different and have different lyrics shame I can’t find a audio recording version
can someone answer something for me. were Korn signed to a label before they even formed. jd was already in a band and left it for korn so that would explain why he chose korn over people he knew and was familiar with. also because the creep stuff and the neidermind demo all sound pretty good for early 90s demos. and lastly if this was like their 3rd or 4th show then it wasnt very long from when they formed to when they went into the studio to record the self titled album.
acually, the song was called 'daddy'. Its the last song on their first album, korn[selftitled]. The song is actually about JDs friend, who's father molested him.
no. this is "my gift to you" before they used bagpipes. alot of ideas from this era were added to later albums. also alive was later featured in take a look in the mirror
the same show they play daddy I think. Daddy was an outtake from jd's old band sexart as was blind. this one was an out take from brian's band creep. used to be called see thru look it up
also thats not what dady is about, dady is about Jon getting molested by his babysitter and he would tell his parents but they didn't belive him at the time..
