Korngold - Violin Concerto by Nicola Benedetti 

I have never heard a more beautiful performance of the Korngold concerto. Thank you, NPO Klassiek, for posting this.

Dedicated to Alma Mahler(Werful) who Korngold had known for many years. Premiered by Heifetz. Disliked by the critics but, known to all the great new and old violinists. It is play regularly around the World. Korngold would like this very fine presentation of his work.

Bravissima! A genuinely wonderful concerto, masterfully played by Nicola, who won the BBC Young Musician of the Year a little while ago. She played the Korngold beautifully then manages to switch to a vibratoless Bach in an instant. A pleasure and a joy to listen to.
