Korpiklaani has lot of lyrics that are stories, and a lot of lyrics based on finnish mythologies. You should check them out. My favourite band. :) Oh, and also, welcome to Finland! :)

Best of the new Korpiklaani tracks in my opinion. The video is especially nice, highlights the Finnish countryside and old style of living.

Hey hey from Finland. I suggest you feature Paara - Suon sydän, or Hiidenhauta - Hiiden virsi. Both are a bit lesser known finnish black metal bands but sorely underappreciated.

Your "Henkselipoika" sounded pretty similar to how most English speaking people would say it. Quite understandable, at least with a little concentration, even if one wouldn't know what you were saying. A good tip to pronounce Finnish would be to horrendously over pronounce every single letter. Didn't know Korpiklaani had a new song out, so thanks for that. I quite like the song. Since I already mentioned Blind Guardian - And then there was Silence to you in a message you replied to, I'll recommend Twilight Force - Twilight Horizon this time. One of the hardest power metal songs to sing (Even their own singer can't sing it live (So please listen to the studio version)). Sounds a bit like Beast in Black I think but it's perhaps a bit less disco/80's influenced and more just plain melodic. It still has plenty of synths and orchestrations though.

Well as it shows on video a young hired man tries to pick up servant girl in old rural Finland. It was quite common back in the days that young people went to work for some bigger farm as a helpers and then find their future husband / wife from there.

I really like it, but damn, I miss the fast songs. :/ btw talking about Finish Music, did you ever heard the song DEVOTION by WINTERSUN from the "Nuclear Blast Allstars - Out of the Dark"-Sampler? It's been 10 years or more since it was released, but it's nevertheless a HELL of a song, I think you should really give it a try!

Henkseli-poika.'Braces boy' Well pronounced. Stress the beginning, every letter always the same, basically. ng like in sing, only double long (rengas - tire).

At least in Finland the demographics are changing so that in the countryside there are way more young men than ladies. All the young ladies are moving into the city.
