Owned a pair for years now. Love em, some of the best sounding basic headphones I own. Recently upgraded to Yaxi Pads for more comfort. Did the same to my KSC75s, which are equally good sounding but with slightly less bass. The 75s are also like a fifth the price of the PortaPros. Look into em, $15. Koss KSC75. I got both my pairs from OG Massdrop, blacked out.

im not that educated but i think the sony wh1000-xm4 are pretty good, they feel really nice, have an amazing sound and have awesome noice cancelling, are pretty expensive tho. i think the xm5 are out already but idk how those are...

Hell yeah! Koss has always been the budget kings for balanced headphones. They are amazing for the price and it's nice to see the general public realizing this as well. Bass isn't everything folks

Those Koss headphones, with the specific 40 mm titanium coated diaphragm drivers, regardless of if they are in the Porta pro, sportapro, or KTX pro headphones, sound extremely good. They're even used in the R-80 sealed ear cup headphones as well. I have been a fan of these since at least the early '90s, and of purchased more than my fair share of them since I'm hard on things. Also before radio shack went the way of the dodo, they were always the pro 35s.

i've had a pair of those for about 8 months now after a friend of mine more or less let me "indefinitely borrow" them. i must say, while i do think the actual clarity of the audio leaves something to be desired, the tuning on them are just plain fun. they are by no means my daily drivers, but i do enjoy wearing them on occasion because it makes me appreciate some albums a little differently. they're a good set of cans for what they cost, and i'm glad that more ppl are getting them!

Before Tik Tok ever knew this about this headphones, the Audiophile community has already loving this headphone along with it's clip on sibling the Koss KSC-75 for its sound quality and low price, they called it the "budget endgame" and they really love modding it (like detachable cable mod), Koss has a good reputation even to this day.

Over 20 years ago they cost $89 (it's 160 $ now! - according to the inflation calculator) as far as I remember. It was the benchmark sound in this price. With the proliferation of mobile phones, they began to sell en masse and koss cut the price in half. So they are worth a lot more than they cost today. So it's not surprising that they are a legend for 40!! years - since mid eighties.

The adjustment is not a gimmick. You have to move the slider while you have them on your head. They're pretty old (as in they've been making them for a long time). You can see that from how they're built, but they're still pretty good and you can buy lifetime warranty for them. Costs you about $10 extra but you get them repaired (they'll switch them for new ones) for about $2. Oh and you can pretty much destroy them completly but they'll repair it as long as you give them more than 50% of the headphones and they can make out the model. Edit: I use the adjustment almost every day as I use the headphones for longer amounts of time pretty often. Also it helps with glasses as you don't get that annoying pain when the headphones push your ears against the glasses.

I love my porta pros so much that I replaced the cable when that wore out but they don’t sound THAT good. They’re nice and open for walking around outside, foldable and I like the 80/90s aesthetic

I loooove these headsets! Used to rock these when I was a teen and still do to this day 😹 the wireless variant is a bit of a let down due to the chonky cable/battery situation still attached to them and the fragility of it where the connection meets the ear cups. (The cable gets easily stripped there which exposes the wires and eventually scuffs the sound in one ear.) I think if they were made truly wireless someday they'd be amazing. I also have a wired set where I use a samsung usb c adapter (cus my silly samsung phone refused to let sound work with an offbrand adapter) and they sound great, kinda wish they had the braided cable tho cus one of those pairs lasted for almost 2 years once 🫣 but those don't seem to be sold anymore which sucks.. 😢

They sound better than my AirPods Pro and any other headphones I’ve ever used so that is that. Also the adjustable pressure „comfort zone“ is not a gimmick it really makes a huge difference when wearing them. On one setting they start hurting and on the other they’re barely pressing on your ears. Gotta admit the stock ear foams don’t feel good but if you buy the ones from Yaxi they feel great.

I think they are quite good value for money. This sound quality definitely cost more with other brands. The looks of this product are quite nice and retro and there are replacement earpads that make this headphones even more comfortable and sound even a little bit better. unfortunately they might not be the most durable headphones heard as I understand it correctly but other than that it's a recommendation. You can also easily get replacement parts for this so maybe it's not that bad to but it for it's durability.

Oh my gosh they bring so much memories I had them they were very expensive at the time for me I brought them all the way from Ukraine here to America and was still using them for a year or two, even replaced the foam pads once from ebay. Unfortunately one of the speakers went out and I had to throw them away.

I used these headphones with my first iPod back in 2011. After around two years the cable broke and I fixed it several times, but in the end I had to toss them. They sounded really good for the price and were comfortable to wear.
