For me it took around a month and a half, but that's probably because I tried to learn it after only playing for like four months. In reality I think it should take a month at the most. Once you're familiar with the style, then probably just a few days
I'm using Google translate so I might be horribly wrong, but I think you're asking how long it took me to learn this...? When I made this video, I'd been playing guitar for less than a year. So I think it took me around two months to learn it.
I don't mean to be short with you, but please watch my lesson videos. This is just the slow version. I have three other videos that explain note by note how to play this.
@sfu1129 You should be able to do both. It depends on the song and what kind of sound you're going for. For this, maybe go for a bit more of a percussive sound
@kambing2410 I usually use Martin .125-.55 medium-light strings. It depends on how your guitar is set up. If you tune down to DADGAD and find that it buzzes, then it's too light
@buggld Hi, Not really sure what you mean there. Maybe you're trying to do the nail attack with too much force? The emphasis shouldn't be on the driving down into the top, it should be the release of the M and A into the strings
That's why I uploaded tutorial videos, to show you how to play the techniques. Please watch them! If you are new, you might as well just follow the tab and ignore the chords above it for now. Jon
@sfu1129 It'll take some time to develop the strength and coordination for a crisp percussive sound. try hitting down into the strings instead of across them
Please watch my lesson videos, this is meant to be the last video in the series. I provide a link to the tab in the first video and explain how to play it. Thank you for your comment! Jon
To have only been playing for a year and some, you're pretty good. I think you're much better than the so called "prodigy" Jung. People only pay attention to him because he's only a few years younger. You're more precise~ 1500/5 stars!
@buggld1 Hi, Always, always practice it slowly until you can get the technique perfect. Then bring it up to normal speed little by little. People often practice at regular speed and end up developing poor technique that is hard to overcome later on. Jon
Awesome! Was looking for an english tutorial on this song! Found it beginning of the year, & I should've googled it from the start. Great playing! ^^ I found a tab for it...but wonder if its correct compared to yours.
hi, can u pls show what strings i should hit in tapping? i saw ur lessons a while ago, it was great but the tapping part was not very clear. tnx much in advance mate!
Hi, I know I comment/ask you a lot of question for this song(I just really wanna learn it) but sometimes when I try to do the nail attack, my pinky bends backwards and touches the first string, muting it.... help?
hello low I noticed that the tab states that the index should play 001 at once but you are specifically picking only "1" with you index to emphaxize the melody. I would like to know if its good to play 001 at once.
