So much replay value here. This is a great matchup. Happy that F.A.T.E is getting his flowers during his rise... he's incredible. Madflex has been my favorite pen in battle rap in the last few years. No signs of that changing for a long time.
Flex got 1st and 2nd. FATE was crazy though. If Fate hadn’t stumbled those few times, it might have went the other way for me. RARELY do I see anyone close to touchin Flex like that. That’s crazy 😳 mad props to both
@@LockheedLazar Here is the thing about flex, his flow is unique, and his writing is really good. But when he gets hit with direct punches, then the bobbing and weaving flow wares off for me. IMO
Fire battle, haven't watched much if anything thru all this covid bs but the couple I watched weren't all that. This was, great battle folks, I've missed these. Too little time to sink in to watching battles anymore, it's too much to keep up with now. I miss the days when I felt like I got most of the references. Fuck I'm old
I thought the same thing, you can def see the influence of chilla j on Fate. This is my first time seeing him battle, he’s dope. The demons got some heat RN
Definitely felt like fate won that. Think y’all over blowing it. Barley a stumble. A lot of smack rapper repeat a couple word set up before delivering a huge punchline. Which that bar was. I’m a flex fan. But F.A.T.E. won clear 2-1
F.A.T.E. had a few stumbles in the second & third, which seems to really count in this tournament. Flex was clean every round. This was seriously a damn good battle though.
I feel like fate kept the same cadence through each round and his words would shrink at the end of longer set ups. Mad Flex has a firm control of his frequency and vocal protection
Dude really has top 3 pen in battle rap. Anyone who doesn't think so just can't comprehend what homies talking about. I've listened to flex vs ward easily a hundred time and I still catch shit he said that I didn't understand before.
I think Flex won round 2 and Fate Round 3. Round 1 is the ultimate dilemma, like we've seen play out in Lux vs Clips Rd 2 - do you give it to the dude who was a solid 8 all round, or to the one whose first half is an 7 and the 2nd half of the round is a 9?
@alexander harvey madflex is an insane underrated talent. And he’s not a vulture. You’re only saying that cuz he’s white. He’s been at it for years now.
madflex is reachus christ. the jaden smith bar sounded good but who did fate call? lots of his bars make half-sense like that… the snapchat bar was almost fire but what does “they inboxed the ghost of you” mean? “no tissue but they know this you when they notice you” yes… of course they do… ? no tissue? what? then he says “there’s no issues when you say you never made it cus of prep and hesitation” but then he takes issue with it. he literally just crammed in no issues because it rhymed even though it makes him mean the opposite of what he means the computer love line sounded good but what is computer love literally? “wave before i clear this whole coast when the tsunami hit” what does wave mean in this context like wave a gun like wave a hand? neither really works he randomly inserted the word “rhymezone” into his second round because that’s how he wrote this lol if anyone can actually clear this stuff up for me thank you it just feels like he prioritizes cramming as many related words into a sentence as possible over making sense. sometimes dude goes off but it’s like it makes no difference to him if a bar actually makes literal sense fate 2-1 he actually did what madflex pretends to do but madflex did go off in the third
1. he called the league for the spot. 2. they inboxed a guy who has already been killed. 3. they know it's you without tissue 4. There's no issue when he says he never made it. 5. Computer love: being on a computer and showing him love. 6. wave goodbye when i'm clearing out the division/coast? I appreciate the laugh though bro. Glad I could clear this up for you and any half-listeners of the type.
