Montenegrins are good and generous hosts. When expecting a guest, according to an old time custom, as a sign of hospitality they open wide the door or the gate. They offer to the guest the best food and drink they have in the house
When I was in Montenegro I had more the feeling that the people were very unhappy with all the tourists and that they would rather not have them there. The nicest people I met there where all Croatian. That doesn't mean it is all like that because we only went to Budva and Kotor but that was our experience. Croatians where lovely, Bosnians too but the Montenegrins where a little more grumpy most of out trip. Again thag might not be true everywhere though.
@@CB-jv6cj well we all have different views. I've been in Croatien, it was so awful because host family was nervous, they yelling at 6 in the morning and they really don't wanna to see you in your room. Wi-fi was shut I don't know why, but when we are back then again everything was normal .. To expensive, there's no so much place to go, really bored. Split was nice but that is all. Croatien no way anymore. Thanks but no..
@@Anna-ym5mh That is such a shame, I have been in Croatia 2 years in a row and I haven't had any bad experiences. We have seen the most amazing places there too. Omis and Makarska are so incredibly beautiful. Zip lining through Omis is absolutely amazing. Dubrovnik is very pretty too, a bit too crowded by tourist for my liking but outside of that it's well worth a visit. The people where so sweet in Croatia. We met the loveliest people in Montenegro and Bosnia but all of those people originally come from Croatia. Most montenegrians were so grumpy, I nearly got taken by a group of 6 big men into a taxi to be raped there. Luckily I wasn't alone and got back in our own car but that was really pretty scary. I really love Croatia.
@@CB-jv6cj yeah I think it was a bit too mjch for some regions, since some tourists are very loud and obnoxious. But its very personal. Depends who you meet to be honest. Not all tourists respect the locals and their culture. I live in Holland and Amsterdam is crowded with touristd and I avoid it like a plague....
I took a cruise that stops here but was sad when we couldn't get off the ship due to high winds. I guess I'll have to live vicariously through your video. It looks so pretty, so jelly!
OMG so many cats !! I’m glad I watched this video , now that I know, I will work on my fear for cats, I’m terrified of them 😢 My husband and I are going on a cruise to the Greek islands , Kotor and Duvbrovnik we will be embarking in Venice . Sadly we will be arriving at 2 pm to Kotor so more likely we will have to pay the 3 euros lol Thank you so much sharing and for being very informative .... you both are the cutest , God bless !! Any tips / recommendations are welcomed
Currently in kotor trying to find the place you ate for seafood pizza. We've been to split Dubrovnik and mortar so far. Thanks for you videos been really cool :) booking Rome in November after watching your video.
18:11 The propper pronounciation is "Tsesaritsa" . It means "empress" and is most likely named after a famous song by a Croatian singer called Oliver Dragphević
Very nice view of city,. You really make very nice video. Which camera you use friends because very nice clearly of your camera. Thanks for entertainment us. God bless both of you
Always enjoyed your wonderful videos, which provided good previews for our cruises. Your videos were well-done and very stable. Out of curiosity, which camera did you use and did you use any stabilizer? Thanks for sharing your videos!
So interesting about the cats! In Israel, they also have feral cats, but they are truly wild cats that you dare not play with. Do you know why these feral cats are so docile? If not, is there anyone you can ask?
Thanks! I'm just assuming this but I think they're born nearby humans and survive mostly by the generosity of people nearby them so they become friendly from an early age.
Hola!
Ah, so you *were* to Kotor, after all. Of course you were - what was I thinking :o) That green stuff with fish was probably chard, not spinach. And that "cream" on the pizza was "kajmak", fermented cream skimmed from boiled and cooled milk. "Cesarica" means "empress" in the dialect shared with Dalmatia ("cesar" cf. "tsar" or "keiser") (Ah, one word Audrey mispronounced :o)) )
Hey! Great movie! I'm heading to Kotor in September and this has got me really looking forward to it. Just going to check your Budva movie now. Thanks for the posts... great work! Best wishes from Glasgow :)
Hi Guys, thank you so much for this! I'm starting a tour of Eastern European countries in Montenegro on 8th April and this will be very useful... subscribed and gonna checkout your other vlogs right now!!!! x
The cats in this part of the world are so friendly! We're in Croatia at the moment and are enjoying getting to know all the neighbourhood cats 😁 We're heading to Kotor in a couple of weeks, so it's great to see what it's like over there. We're going to have to get ready to climb all those stairs!
Went to herceg novi but visited kotor for a short period before visiting an island with a lively church. Herceg novi is the most relaxing place I've visited to be recommended wonderful
Why have I only just found you!? This video is so great!! I love all the cats 🐈 and how weird/cute you two are with them. I’m planning to go to Montenegro in May this year, really can’t wait now.
Thank you! If you love cats you'll definitely like this place. That is great to hear. The weather should be quite a bit warmer then compared to what we experienced.
If I recall correctly maybe it took us an hour or hour and a half to get up there and less time going down. Maybe it wasn't being administered because it was kind of off-season when we visited.
Excellent video. Makes me want to go. We're looking into this area although we've next booked for Albania. Question..... what sort of drone do you use for the filming? Interested in getting into that. Audrey, you are very pretty. Sam... what's with the dodgy hats?!! ;)
Thanks! That is cool to hear. You'll have to let us know how Albania is since we didn't get that far south on this trip. We're using a GoPro Karma which is pretty much the worst one you can have for portability. Would highly recommend checking out the newly released dji mavic air. It looks amazing. Casey Neistat did a cool review on it recently.
Thanks for the heads up on the drone! I am hoping to start posting some travel videos soon although they won't be as professional as yours....! Hopefully will get some good footage of Albania in May. There isn't an awful lot of footage on youtube on that country, although Gabriel Traveler (another of my fave vloggers) has done some good videos.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos. I shall say hello to Mr. Low rider! We shall see if I'm making videos by that time, won't be as good as yours but it shall be a work in progress but a shout out to y'all as well!

I love all the kitties! Reminds me of Turkey. We're headed to Montenegro on Thursday because our visa here in Albania is finished and we have to leave. Looking forward to renting a car and visiting places.
Thanks Todra! Sounds like great plans. Can totally relate to what you're saying. Maybe Istanbul and Kotor have been our fav cities for meeting kitties.
i giggle a lil bit when i read the name of the place "kotor"... to whom who might curious, try to translate "kotor" in google translate from "malay" to "english"... the name of this place is obviously the opposite of what it mean in "malay". such an awesome place, wish to visit it in the future
It seems to me that this tiny nation is completely under the radar of tourists from the West. I mean in every tourist agency here in Santa Barbara, CA they're offering a cruise trip to Montenegro. It looks spectacular really.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos Omg2!!! You guys just replied didn’t expect thatt!! Love you!!! But btw, i haven’t but I’m hoping someday i can visit this place 😭💪🏼
We were in Noumea New Caledonia and had been for a week , regularly eating and drinking at our favorite bar when all of a sudden one day the menus were taken off the tables and new ones with double prices replaced them ... it turned out that a cruise ship from Oz had just docked. When I went to pay our bill I just said "I will see you again this evening" in French and the bill was torn up ... gratis if you were a regular from Oz it appears. Was it the same in Kotor ? How funny can travel be ....
im back packing thru europe for 5 weeks starting next month after i have everything mapped out from london to krakow after krakow im not sure were to go so i may fly to budapest then work my way to kotor then fly back to italy then barcelona to go home. beenwatching your videos to help decide . there really helpful
when street cats are looking happy and well fed that means this place is populated by really good people... and so you are you two really nice trip, thank you
Thanks! We use a GoPro Karma which I don't recommend at all. It is a bulky beast to carry around. I'd highly recommend looking at the DJI spark, newly released mavic air or mavic pro.
I really like how you guys explore the lesser known places in Europe. You could easily just do London and Amsterdam a hundred times over, but you guys are really choosing some great looking locations in places most people in Western Europe or North America don't even think much about. Keep it up guys!
