dont worry if you cant find jackfruit leaves. you can use turmeric bush leaves, ginger bush leaves. you can easily find the wild Badam tree in cities and can use that leaf too. if you find folding and "stitching" the leaves together a hassle use a steel glass and keep 4 leaves in the glass like a basket and steam in it. simply push the leaf in a steel glass and pour the batter and steam. All these leaves have medicinal properties and also make the idli's super soft.

you can approach an agarbatti guy and ask for the sticks used to make agarbattis. or save the ends of used agarbattis and use it to make the basket.

Dried bamboo/ curry leaves stem dry it and use, it gives amazing aroma of it.

Its a traditional receipe done in jackfruit leaf cup...or in turmeric leaf and banana leaf plate pattern....the leaves give an aroma to the dish in addition to benifits of the nutritive n medicinal value of leafs
