Live coverage from KOTV News on 6's Travis Myers and team as a EF4 tornado develops and impacts the communities of Barnsdall and Bartlesville. This tragic storm took one life.
I'm amazed there wasn't more injuries or fatalities in these storms or the ones the next day. This gentleman and the rest of the staff did a great job.
58:04 his voice betrayed some emotion when he said "not beautiful". And I agree, they're only beautiful when they're weak and not hurting anyone. Being a violent EF4 stiking population centers, this one is automatically ugly. Travis and crew did an excellent job here and no doubt saved lives. Respect.
Unrelated, but isn't hominy like puffed up corn? Ate it when I was little...ok just watched farther in and they mentioned it hitting granola....I mean come on..a tornado seems to eat what we do....
How was that passive aggressive? The situation certainly was not beautiful. More like terrifying. Would you say that a large damaging tornado at night heading directly for a small town is beautiful?
@A.-ow4ki I'm not the one who said it. But since you asked, as someone that has been in a tornado and see what can happen to people in them, no those situations are in no way "beautiful." Tornado movies like Twister could very easily get an R rating if they went into detail about the victims of tornadoes. But as a weather enthusiast I would also say seeing a tornado can be a beautiful thing as a wonder a nature. Nobody is celebrating loss or life or property.
