Chessbrah lending Yasser the platform to disseminate his utterly delightful lessons is the most gentlemanly and clever thing they could have done. Very well done! Thank you!

Ty, yasser, i really Love ur Lessons. When I study, practice and play chess I get so confused and sad because it / sounds sooooo complicated. When I read a book of yours or see it analyze something I feel so good, it is as if, for a short time I am understanding, somehow what is happening (without the confusion I create for myself by thinking). Thanks, once again, for sharing your thought process, particularly I liked it and intend to use it. Once again, really thanks!

Yasser more vidéos please 😊 I already have seen all your videos (saint louis and chessbrah) at least two times each! And btw, I love the format you adopted with chessbrah. Hansen&Hambelton&co thank you guys for this opportunity and all what you do for chess. With this effort, every chess fan could appreciate Yasser wisdom and enjoy his brilliant eloquence when it comes to explain « the battle of ideas » on the chess field.

This is better than a book. GMs should teach this way. Like they’re writing a book but they have the chat interaction to guide them too

Excellent lesson, I played once Kovačević at simultaneous game in Croatia, he lives in small village on Makarska Riviera, also Kasparov spends summers here...

This lesson was great but I think the best is the one learning to attack. I played a tournament over the last week and really got like at least one point because of the attacking ideas yasser explains there. All in all I think the best chess lessons I’ve ever seen

The genius of Yasser is that the way he talks is window-clear.. Here he's showing a GM-level game from 4 decades ago, and yet he manages to explain it such that I, a low-rated amateur, understand clearly the thought processes of both the players involved.

This was incredibly instructional. I almost abstained from watching the video and would just eat my dinner and go to do the library but I'm so glad I didn't. I am a pirc/modern player so that's what roped me in, and I'm quite happy that is the case! Thank you Yasser :)

This is so incredibly good! I wish Yasser would follow up on his marvellous book "Winning Chess Brilliancies" by giving us some more deeply annotated games to digest (and enjoy!). I would love to read his thoughts on some classical games (Morphy to Capablanca), and also on the change in chess thinking during the "soviet years" 1948 onwards.

And to think about it if his opponent would have delayed g4 pawn move just one move later he might have destroyed Yasser because he was going to castle next move. But this goes to show that not even a wrong move can make you lose, but making the right move too early or too late can be your down fall.

At the Oregon Open in the 80's I saw Yasser form a distance. John Donaldsen was also there and I kind of met him. John was gracious and humble and quite nice and as a d class player i enjoyed some talks with him in postmortems etc.. Too bad i didn't know that Yasser was such a sweetheart i might have intruded and met him too.

But this goes to show that not even a wrong move can make you lose, but making the right move too early or too late can be your down fall. Yasser is a great teacher, but there is nothing better than experience and knowledge combined. Somethings can not just be taught, often it is your intuition from experience.

Nice catch! Then ...Qxf2+, Kxf2 Rxh8 is forced, weakening black's attack. However, black would still have the advantage with his control over the H-file. Maybe a knight sacrifice from black on the queen-side (...Nxa4) can have some merit and create a passed b pawn?

MuzicIs MyEscape yeah I think so too but it's def less losing allowing the double up on the h file.

Why was the a1 h8 diagonal the most important? Can someone help
@arightscepter
@arightscepter 4 года назад
Being not blocked it meant all of the squares could be watched over or the pieces moved to them safely. The "long diagonal" is the one that has the most squares available. Many systems are based on the extra squares the long diagonal bishop can influence. Also the bishop that eyes those squares is hard to dislodge since its not available to attacks.
