My review of my pallet patio deck and a Kozyard gazebo review. The magnetic door is "LUX" Fiberglass Magnetic Screen Door, size 36" X 83". I used 3M spray on adhesive to glue it on and screws to hold on at the top.
You did a nice job with the review especially showing how you furnished your gazebo. No other gazebo reviews that i watched did that. Finally, you have a nice voice & should be in radio.
What a fantastic presentation William we love your kozyard Gazebo looks absolutely beautiful and a lovely Garden go with myself and my wife just bought one 10 x10 were just browsing RU-vid for ideas we came across yours we love everything that you done and made railings and steps put fans up magnetic zips beautiful furniture we read every comment that people had Question's and you answered all most everyone outstanding kozyard should pay you ha your better than salesman i hope it's still standing after 4 years we pay for your flight to us in Ireland 🇮🇪 ha do ours you have fantastic ideas you made up your own ides your Gifted we really enjoyed your video thanks for sharing Troupee & Claire from Ireland 🇮🇪 😁👍🤛
Thanks for the review. Very nice work. Going to look into the magnetic curtains. I chose the clothe version gazebo because we get hurricanes and I have seen small structures taken out. With the clothe I just remove the top and curtains before the hurricanes come.
My Kozyard Alexander gazebo no longer had that screen under the upper roof. They added 4 smaller panels for the transition from lower to upper roofs. Now those hooks are accessible. I put a bar through the loop hooks and attached a bolt through the bar and hung my fan that way.
@ t33jetman and wife. I like your decorating theme Mrs t33jetman. You inspire me. Just for the fun of it, try saying COZY YARD, three times fast and you kozyard. Smile life if good. I ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO. Thanks for the info about the ceiling fan. I got mine today at Lowe's on sale for $99.00, plus a $10.00 off coupon. MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOURS.
Great video! I’m considering purchasing this model or another that looks very similar but is about half the price at Big Lots out here in the West Coast. You’re review is thorough and helpful . . . But I’m still on the fence. Not sure if there’s a $700 difference between this one and the one at Big Lots. Decisions, decisions . . .
I saw that you used 3M spray adhesive to attach the magnetic screen door to the bug netting. We just bought and are currently assembling our 12x16 Kozyard Gazebo....We loved the product after watching your video. My question is, can you do a quick walkthrough of the installation for the magnetic screen door? We really want to copy your idea! Thank you!!
I also bought the magnetic mosquito screen. I used my sewing machine to attach the magnetic screen to the gazebo's screen. I am still able to zip the gazebo screen closed.
You mentioned an installation video? I can't seem to find and looking for help insalling the roof. How do I know which is the top or bottom of the panels?
It looks like the left side of your magnetic door is coming apart from the gazebo screen. Smart idea though putting that on. I just finished putting my gazebo up a few days ago and I'm going to order one of those. Also thanks for posting the link to the assembly. It was a big help. I had seen that vid but didn't check it out because it was a Sojag Messina and not a Kozyard Alexander. It think they all come from the same factory and just name them different for different retailers. The parts for both are exactly the same. Btw nice job on the deck. Almost forgot to say that Kozyard redesigned the mosquito net at the top. Instead of the one like yours that goes flat across the top, they created 4 panels that sit vertically so the 2 hooks are now accessible. They didn't account for the pentagon shaped caps on the 4 corners though so the panels don't sit perfectly flat on the ends, but it's still better than having the thing covering the hooks.
I also bought the magnetic mosquito screen. I used my sewing machine to attach the magnetic screen to the gazebo's screen. I am still able to zip the gazebo screen closed.
@@benettemcneill984 There's only one possible issue with doing that. The magnetic screen door takes a beating at the bottom from the wind and if and when it wears out your going to have fun replacing it. I used Velcro and it's working great.
Thanks for the deck review. Was hoping for more info regarding the assembly of the gazebo. At what point in the assembly do the roof panels go on? Considering the option for removal of them when hurricanes roll through our Charleston, SC area, though I do recognize that wouldn't be (and shouldn't be) an easy task. Also, you mentioned needing rubber washers, which makes sense -- how many washers would be needed, and what size?
Andrea, Thank you for some very good questions. Since I didn't put washers on mine , I have no answer for you on the number or size for a rubber washer. The panels are installed after the roof frame is installed on top of the four legs because of the weight to raise the frame. Not easy to remove the panels, but anything can be done with a screwdriver and a wrench and two people, good luck. after you purchase count up the screws and take one to your local hardware store.
Nice decorations and yes those magnets are awesome. I am planning buying a pergola. How was it secured to the deck? Just screwed to the deck board or did it need any reinforcements? Thanks.
Thank you for sharing this. Have been thinking of purchasing a gazebo. How does this withstand high winds? Where are back patio is located we have like a wind tunnel that comes through so I am not sure about how it would hold up.
Great Video. This looks just like the Messina Sun Shelter sold at Costco. You had mentioned the roof bolts leaking, do you happen to know the diameter of the roof bolts?
Hi William you have a nice setup inside the gazebo I just finished assembling my own gazebo I have a question did the water leak stop after you add the silicon? I’m having this issue
Love your Gazebo and how you set it up. Just ordered one because yours looks awesome. I found the fans at Lowes, what type of screws did you use to attach them to the pole? Was it these Pro-Twist #8 x 1/2-in Truss Self-Drilling Lath Screws. Did you pre drill the holes into the metal bar first? Sorry for the questions, i just love what you did here. Thank you so much for sharing.
My screws are self tapping .Use whatever size you feel best that will not punch all the way through the roof. No I did not predrill the holes because I had self tapping screws Good luck it's not that hard I did it by myself in One weekend. Wear gloves
We just finished assembling our 12' x 16' Kozyard Gazebo. I love it for the exact reasons you do. I, too, do not like unzipping and zipping the screens. I was lifting up the zipped screen and crawling under it. Please give me a step by step description of how you installed the magnetic door. I am guessing you totally separated the screens that are zipped together. Where exactly did you screw the door to the metal? I get that you used 3M spray to attach the door to the screens. What did you do with the excess screen left over from where the door is? About installing the fan. My gazebo does not have a mesh covering the ceiling so the metal ceiling is exposed. I would like to attach an outdoor ceiling fan to the ceiling itself. Do you have suggestions on how to hang it from the ceiling, please. Thanks so much for your video.
There is no excess screen left over. There is just more gazebo screen slid to the left and more gazebo screen slid to the right. I also bought the magnetic mosquito screen. I am still able to zip the gazebo screen closed if I chose. Unzip the gazebo screen on the side where you want to place the mosquito screen. The mosquito screen has velcro across the top. I velcroed the mosquito screen to the inside of the gazebo. (that was the last step). My mosquito screen was a little longer than the gazebo screen so I started attaching the two screens at the bottom. I used my sewing machine to attach the magnetic screen to the gazebo's screen.
I have the EXACT same gazebo, however mine is 10x10. I hired a repairman to build it for $200, and it took both of them to finish in 5.5hrs. At the end, they admitted that it was their first time building something so difficult, as the instructions were not user-friendly.
How did you install the magnetic doors? I’ve had them for my apartment before but they nailed up. Did you have to sew them into the mosquito netting or do they make a zip up version?
@@t33jetman I see dozens of the magic mesh but none that at made for Gazebos. None that are very wide. How did your fasten? Does your hang off the hooks at the top? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
@@louieblazo9687 I used 3M spray adhesive to glue it to the mess that is already there. At the top I did screw it and attach it to the frame. Most matches are set for the size of a regular doorway and it will work
I have a paver patio that I will install my gazebo on. So as not to ruin the look of the pavers I plan to drive aluminum spikes through the holes in the deck plates to minimize horizontal movement, and fill 3' pvc pipes with stone (36" long) and mount inside the aluminum columns. This will provide 75# of weight at each of the 4 corners. My concern is the water channeling down the insides of the columns. I don't want the water to hit the tops of the weight pipes and splatter inside the gazebo. Does the water channel down the inside of the columns or just splash willy-nilly down the column? The weight pipes will be secured to the channels with SS pipe clamps.
Is there slack at the bottom of the mosquito net to tuck under furniture or a rug to keep the bugs out, or does the screen hover over the ground allowing some to still get in?
Thanks for making this video. You got a beautiful yard and did a great job furnishing. How do you like the size? I'm debating between this one and the 12x16 version.
I have the same one marketed under a different name through Menards. We like it but haven't used the mosquito net yet. Do you have mosquitos coming in at the bottom of the net? It doesn't look like it seems very well. Thanks for sharing.
The next comes down to the floor, so on calm nights it's nice to be in without bugs around your face .love it in the day time no flies. If you want bug free then frame it in and make it bug tight.
Hello I ordered the KOY Z ART gazebo. I think that's the right name. I got the 12 by 16 and I thank you for your comments because I bought rubber washers 200 of them and they use rubber washers were ever we had the screws My question is how did you attach your door screen I don't see anywhere where you can attach it without drilling holes or attachments I would love to get that because you're right going up-and-down would that zipper gets a little tired quickly so if you could get back to us and let us know I know you said Amazon has a lot of them which they do I just don't know how you would to hatched it to your busy bow
Hello, I have a 20x10 deck. I live in a townhouse and wanted to know would this product be too heavy. I would prefer something like this as I would like to keep it up all year as I get alot of winds and snow. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Thank you
Did you use the Z brackets that go on the roof panels? They are a pain. After watching your vedio I order one. Thanks for the review. I like it SO FAR.
I just installed this same gazebo and got so frustrated with the Z clips that I finally left them off. Their installation instructions are truly pitiful regarding the roof. It made installation of the roof panels much easier without them and I sat in it through a 1 hour rainstorm as heavy as we could have with out one single leak! I tried to ask customer service at Kozyard if there were any consequences of not using the clips, but got no response. Their customer service is non existent right now.
@@michaelwright7843 Our gazebo got hit with 70 mph wind one day after assembly and held. I agree about Cozyard and their service department. I would not recommend them to anyone. Enjoy your gazebo brother the hard part is over. Oh by the way I left about 7 Z BRACKETS off and every thing is fine. I know what I would like to do with those brackets but though !!
@@t33jetman If it is mounted on Concrete would it cause the water to back up? Or should it have a drainage pipe plumbed into the concrete to ensure it doesn't back up into the legs?
@@t33jetman They must have redesigned this as well, as the corner pieces have 2 holes and the water drains out of those and down the outside of the posts.
Silly question, do you have trouble with the sides blowing around in the wind when closed? I can't figure out a way to attach the privacy curtains to the corner posts. There's a slit in the privacy curtain and Velcro straps connected to the netting however they don't line up. I'm wondering if maybe we got faulty privacy screens.
On the sides blowing , I strapped mine down. Use weights, screw them down get creative. I'm going to frame my screens in and make them permanent, that's just me and my way to fix the blowing.
@@t33jetman We ended up using tarp clamps along the bottom of the privacy curtain and attached them to d clamps on the deck using carabiners. We also attached a tarp clamp to each corner and used a small bungee to attach it around the post. So far, so good! We leave it closed when the wind is 15 mph or below.
The reason they didn't line up is you have them positioned wrong. The holes are different in 2 of the screens than the other 2, with both the netting and the privacy screens. Remember the ends have 6 hooks and the sides 7 hooks per half so the holes are positioned to match that.
I tool a hallow aluminum pole , cut to size and then beat down the ends with a hammer to make it flat, then drilled to holes on each end , then self tapping screws to hold it up.
I dont have the package anymore. Search on Amazon, for magnetic screen door , hundreds will show up. Mine has about twenty magnics in it. More the better.
Keep in mind Kozyard measures by the eaves. This gazebo is much less than 10x12. I've had three, 10x12 canvas top gazebos so when it was time to order my hardtop I thought it was a no brainer to order 10x12 for my 11'9" wide concrete patio area, length wasn't an issue. Sadly, this hardtop gazebo was much smaller than my last three 10x12 gazebos by a lot! I couldn't fit my furniture I used in my last gazebos in my new gazebo nor do the bolting come close to where I previously bolted my gazebo down. Look on Kozyard site, you will see the true measurements. It's more like a 8x10 gazebo. They list the width inside the the posts as 7'9" and inside the post on the length as 10'.5" I am happy with the construction of the gazebo, but who measures from the eves? I could have used a 12x12 for my 11'9" wide patio slab. It would have made a hugh difference.
Jet man I hope you don't mind me adding the MANUFACTURERS RU-vid Assembly Video. The model #84C-040 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IAN_MUEgN0o.html
Great Video. This looks just like the Messina Sun Shelter sold at Costco. You had mentioned the roof bolts leaking, do you happen to know the diameter of the roof bolts?
Did you glue one part the velcro "frame" (hook) to the zipped edges of the gazebo screen and then attached the other part of the velcro (loop) on the magnetic door to it? I have the same gazebo and I wanted to make sure I can remove the gazebo screens to store them for the winter.
