at 2:22 that was a good piece of diamond plate that they put in there. And all those pallets could have been reused for something else insted of going in the truck. Some places reuse the pallets to make furniture or other wooden items.
Amazing video, and easily the best video of the Big Bite rear loader so far! It really demonstated the bulk-eating capability of the Big Bite, and the effortless way it crushed all those pallets was really impressive. Thanks for sharing. =)
Piss poor that they wasted the pallets. Not even any lats missing. Pallet mem collect for money you know!!! I stacked nearly 100 pallets that built up over a number of months on a site i was on. Type specific, called the pallet collectors in and got paid £80, the alternative was waste like this.
impressive video .. now. to anyone getting upset about recycling , in the uk any rubbish has to be sorted and treated i.e. shredded before its allowed into landfill. direct dumping was outlawed in 2010. lorries have to tip at a transfer station first and any recyclables removed.. eu wide directive so its the same or should be throughout the e.u .so just because you see mixed waste going in ....doesnt mean mixed waste is getting dumped..
That's not true. Some refuse is sorted but sending it directly to landfill/incineration is still the most common practice. Recyclables do not 'have to be removed', in fact most of the time they aren't. Because this is bulk material made up of mostly wood/metal etc it probably will be sorted (as these are high-revenue generating materials) but it in no means has to be.
I am a carpenter and a former bin man ( UK ). I guess you guys call them trash collectors or something. But seeing all this decent timber going to waste is such a shame. I could have made so many items from this. What is the point in wasting decent materials?
I don't see Any recycling,.. I guess it's different in US as all goes to landfill or incinerator. UK,everything is recycled by every household,plastic,tin,paper..Glass.
Wow. What a waste of good pallets and steel.all could be used again or recycled. No wonder the rainforests are going at an alarming rate. Disgusting.it really is.
The steel is usually separated out and these pallets are seldom made out of wood from rainforests. They can be shredded and recycled into particle boards, or turned into pellets used as fuel
Thank you to everyone in involved, and to KP for letting this magnificent truck be documented for posterity. That thing eats stacks of pallets like it was tissue paper. Any idea what caused the stoppage? Refuse truck video of the year!
Pallets too, no pallet damage? After all, pallets should be put into the buying of pallets, or resell another company. Other wood wastes can be disposed of in other ways, such as chippings and chipboard chips. And then the chipboard would have made new furniture. Of course, metal waste should be sold on scrap. Paper waste should also be applied to the purchase of recycled material. Was it a great renovation, or did the company collapse?
as a scrapper I hate seeing all that scrap metal going to the landfill instead of in the back of my truck or any scrappers truck. what a waste of good scrap metal.
Isso é de verdade ou só uma demonstração ? Pergunto , pois o lixo reciclável está misturado ao lixo não reciclável... O correto é separar um do outro ...
Just love all the black rubber gloves everyone had on - what are they afraid of - getting their hands dirty. Can't be the H&S obsessed UK can it - where are all the 'Reflective Jackets' and if it's a 'building site', - (and judging by the amount of scaffolding it is), - how about the 'Hard Hats' everybody seems to have to wear nowadays.?
@@@okko16 - Sounds just an excuse as I said against getting their hands dirty. I bet if they had to carry anything like that at home they wouldn't put on a pair of gloves first. In my day anyone wearing gloves just to carry something like that would have been laughed off the site. - Mind you anyone wearing gloves on a building site would have been laughed at, and I won't tell you what they would have been called.
Its gloves you fucking idiot, nobody gives a shit about "back in your day" all you old geezer fuckheads is who made our world the shithole it is today.
Over stressing the rams by loading like that and stood to close to the hopper when the packer blade is running and not moving the bulkhead back when the load is getting tight
would have loved to be able to just back my truck up there and tell them to just toss the scrap metal in the back of my truck. several dollars just going to the land fill for no reason with all the scrappers looking hard for scrap metal.
All that wood, cardboard and scrap metal is recyclable. It s hard to watch for me going all those goodies into the landfill!!! In EU you can get rid of all those recyclables for free at collection points.
Ondřej Kulhavý. in the uk any rubbish has to be sorted and treated i.e. shredded before its allowed into landfill. direct dumping was outlawed in 2010. lorries have to tip at a transfer station first and any recyclables removed.. eu wide directive so its the same or should be throughout the e.u .
This truck will go back to a central yard and sorted there. A lot of times the wood will be made into pulp or burned to heat a plant. Not just a bunch of wasteful people here.
The packer shouldn't be going continuously and it should be hold to run until it reaches the shear point as the loading height is to low for auto continuous cycle
The big bite was meant for emptying large containers rather than hand loading, hence it will cycle by pressing the button once and doesn't need to be held in past the pinch point
