Random, Drum & Bass is one of my faves when I listen to Drum & Bass EDM songs alongside Tropical EDM & Melodic Dubstep. Also the more chill based EDM beat drops too.
About women producing drum and bass, it’s actually rapidly changing and having more and more female producers! I happen to be one of them. Before though, it used to really only be men so yeah.
I agree with most everything here and your analysis is brilliant, but also interesting is how closely Korean trot used bass patterns similar to drum & bass, albeit normally slower.

I do agree, you can't really equate a very straightforward genre and lifestyle taht drum and bass is to kpop. Sure its seems like dnb are inseparable to kpop these days, but both have its own distinguishing factors. Why i mainly believe why kpop musically is seen as dnb is merely only cuz of the samples and instrumentals are similar. And honestly i do think that this statement of kpop = dnb overall is quite exaggerated like how not all of kpop is seen as bubblgum pop and other popular subgenres within kpop tbh lol

Some kpop shows like fan meetings do have mc being a member or outside presenter to explain the non song and dances acts like games , q and A works, work in service of the group not as the "owner of the house and fun" as they do in some type of shows.

Great video as always! Honestly, if you ever want to do something similar with another genre that you like that is present in kpop, it would be cool (okay, maybe I just want someone to talk about rock in kpop and how the industry is usually afraid to do other subgenres that aren't pop rock/punk pop. Personally, I think glam metal/rock could be a great fit for kpop, like could you imagine aespa or Everglow doing something like this? I would die ngl. Or on the flipside, something like "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler, esentially those 70-80s pop songs inspired by rock and rock operas) Sorry for how long that last part is, I just really love rock in all of its forms and I really wish there was more of it in kpop
If this episode does well, I'd absolutely love to do more genre comparisons like this in the future. I grew up listening to rock music so it will always have a special place in my heart! Groups like Dreamcatcher and Billlie have shown that rock and Kpop can mix together well and I'd love to see more groups pursuing that sound in the future.

I don't really know a lot about the different genres when it comes to sound so idk what to say abt this stuff but I enjoyed watching this because dnb isn't something I got into. The first music genre I got into is K-pop, any other music I listened to would be songs from movies so I was never interested in music but after K-pop I wanna get into more music related stuff. This is a great video because I thought the max for songs was like 5 minutes but it doesn't seem to be the case. Great video ❤👍
