It's almost like the second prechorus got resolved with the gunshots and "DOOT DOOT" but the chorus never came and it went straight to a bridge, veru unexpected.

I've been replaying this song over and over. I'm obsessed...it hits so hard. I especially like that trap horn riff as you call it (in my mind, I just called it some brass instrument before watching your video haha). Thank you for the laugh in the beginning ("We're going to be doing, I can't pronounce this word") and I loved your initial reaction to the song xD

I love how the B-chorus is a developed first half of the A-Verse (Changbin's intro rap is repeated over the developed chorus instrumental) And they split it off from the prechorus by the bridge. You can see it just takes everyone off-guard since they do the "DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU" phrase drop to lead in and out of the chorus, when it hits the second time, you anticipate the energy to blast off, but then they hit you with the bridge. And then the final transition of "Ne Sonnim" (call back to the intro line) into the B-Chorus gives the final counter-punch before the payoff.

Producer wise i think whats so crazy about this song is the tempo it is in because they skipped a second chorus and had the bridge instead which makes the song around 2:40 but i believe that makes the tempo 154 but you can recreate the entire thing get the same exact arrangement add a snd chorus and the bridge all together in a 77 bpm and get the same duration (if im not mistaken) things like this in kpop really trip me up on what they do with tempo and arrangement sometimes

I'm going to say something controversial here, but it NEEDS to be said. STRAY KIDS HAS THE BEST RAP LINE IN THE HISTORY OF KPOP. For christ sake their main vocalist is a better rapper than 99% of other BG's main rappers. This MV is a master class in transitions and editing, THEE BEST MV+single of 2020 so far for me, and it isn't even close!!!

I agree!! Only thing I disagree with is best single, for me Dreamcatcher's Scream is my favorite title track so far this year. Although Go Live did beat out Dystopia: The Tree of Language (DC's album) for best album this year.
