This was a good movie, BUT the Ford partnership was way to obvious and it reuned the movie for me. Nearly every single car you see in the movie is Ford

The original Kitt was 2000, Karr = Knight Automated Roving Robot, was a prototype of Kitt. I think this new one is 3000 so they'll get to call it KITT again.

KARR was the Knight Industries prototype,the original KITT was the Knight Industries Two Thousand and the Knight Industries 3000 was the 2000's predecessor,if you have seen the KR 2000 movie then the 4000 KIFT is the predecessor of the Mustang KITT.
Every time they try to create a new Knight Rider series, they make the same mistake. KITT will always be a black Trans Am in the popular consciousness, in the same way that Back to the Future will always be associated with a DeLorean.
I just wish they would stop trying to re make it, they will never be able to get that spark that the original show had, same with the A Team movie, Starskey & Hutch (that was really bad) I prey they never try to do an Airwolf re make, can you imagine if they tried to re do smokey and the bandit, christ alive it would be so bad pmsl, and then lets talk about every failed attempt at the dukes of hazzard, I love the General Lee but ouch it hurt to see those movies.
@@theyorkshirescubadiver2261 I think it depends on how you do it - Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica both had successful reboots, but both of those significantly retooled the originals to appeal to a modern audience, whereas many of the other reboots are trying to run on brand recognition and nostalgia-baiting. Also, I'd argue that Smokey and the Bandit has already been redone badly, in Smokey and the Bandit 3, and, having rewatched Airwolf as an adult, any remake will be better, because the series itself is dreadful when you're not 8.
The reboot pilot was so much better than the series that followed it. The pilot at least partly aligned itself with the original series as a sort of continuation (though with no explanation for the whereabouts of the original KITT), and the nano structure was cool and had a lot of potential. The series screwed all that up and acted as a reboot, instead of a continuation (until its ratings tanked). And KITT's "modes" were naf!
If my memory serves me right we see the Knight 2000 steering wheel at Charles' home in the pilot. I always assumed he had the original car, just dismantled
What series is this and what episode as if I remember correctly they didnt finish 1st series and they stopped filming half way through I've seen upto episode 17 and not seen this in any of them

The voice is stupid it sounds like it was a voiceover by someone that doesn't know it's an action scene being voiced...ok I don't expect the AI to be excited but the car sounds like a tea mixing instructional voiced by someone that is really bored...
I disagree, I think it was Val kilmer, and even in the series he played it with the monotone voice, and arrogance the AI should of had, as it learned to be more human
It's Val Kilmer voicing the KITTstang. And the quality of the voice-over delivery is also down to the voice director. Because at the end of the day they're the ones who ok it. Yes. His delivery was monotone, but he was an AI that was still learning. If you watch the episode 'Fly by Knight' he as a lot more moxy on his tone similar to how William Daniels, the Original KITT (aka KITTPrime) had when he found his footing with the character.
why? if it is about a supercar and an hi-tech AI, and that is all about, as newer hi-tech is better. Everything else is just sentimentalism. It can be parallel talking about star trek, the same, old serie vs newer, olds look like cardboard mockups!. Newer is just spectacular.
You can say that again that ALLWAYS try ALLWAYS try a make an updated version of of everything from the 1980s I tell you the truth they are really running out of program's and movie's to make they ALLWAYS try and make them better like the 1.THE A TEAM # 2. BEWITCH # 3. Dukes of Hazzard and the list goes on some of them are good but some of them it's a waste of time and money to make
