He is probably on a search for a new motorsport and DTM/GT/WEC is the way to go. WRC sadly is a sad shadow of a former self with only 2 manufacturer teams taking part. Porsche cup is excellent.
Hey Kalle, as a student engineer, and a big 911, as well as rally fan, I thought I would want to give some tips from what I saw in the video. The behaviour you described during the race, is very typical for a 911, due to the fact that it has a front-mounted fuel tank. Therefore, the balance of the car tends to shift towards more mid corner oversteer as the race goes on. However at the start of the race, the car should have a relatively stronger corner entry. I don't know if the throttle in the telemetry is calibrated properly, but in case it is, if you are left foot braking with a lot of throttle overlap, you are making the above problem a lot worse. The reason is because of a 2-way rear differential. When you give it throttle, you lock the rear diff meaning the car will be a lot more stable on entry. That way you are relying a lot more on the mid corner rotation of the car, and at the start of the race, when you don't have it, you will tend to suffer more from it. I think focusing more on corner entry could help you a lot. In rally, or in drifting, corner entry is mostly about setting the car up nicely for the mid corner. However, for circuit racing, a lot of the turning actually happens on entry, and the difference between corner entry, and mid corner, is not that big. This is particularly the case for front engined cars, as they have a very poor mid corner.
i can't get enough of your vlogs! these are amazing to watch; i love the behind the scenes of races. this is a great way to introduce motorsport to new fans, so please keep posting them!
This hit me hard also😂 that meme is from legendary Finnish comedy show named Kummeli. The clip Kalle use here is from scene titled as "Jankon betoni" or in English as "Jankon concrete" , the CEO in this scetch shares the same first name with Kalle😂 Here you can watch collection of Jankon concrete with English subtitles😅 You're welcome. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fqe-LOel_Vw.html
Just recently heard of You Kalle and I can see that you was born for this! Bro got that six sense for cars👏🏾👏🏾 really impressive! Reminds me of SVG form V8 Supervars
It's okay. At the end of the day, it's great to have a repertoire of skills/modalities. Well rounded young man. I'm sure your father and fans are still happy, no matter what.
Toivottavasti ei koskaan. Formulat on mennyt jo kauan sitten liian kauas rehellisestä kuljettajien/tiimien välisestä taitojen näyttämisestä maailmalle. Vain kauniit teatterin kulissit on vielä jäljellä😢 WRC:nkin vetivät mukaan samaan junan vessaan, surku.
Great video! However, you should try to publish the video much faster after the original event if you want lots of views. I hope you have more in-car video next time and maybe a bit higher quality camera inside the car if possible.
You need to do that , cause the weight in the back ( the engine ) wants to spin you out , if you let all the energy remove from the rear to the front ( braking) in a straightline this isn’t needed , but Zandvoort has a lot of turning and braking at same time. If he goes full on the brake at scheivlak ( righthand corner after the up and down dunes) without throttle , he would be in the wall on the inside of the track . The little bit throttle keeps its pushing forward , so less likely to spin cause there is still energy in the rear aswell .
Further more these cars are a pain in the ass to drive . All the weight is in the rear and big wide slicks and a huge wing makes the car rear heavy and front light wich makes understeer . Hence why they sometimes keep braking even in the middle of the corner , to rotate the car to the inside .
Hey Junior.... you understand what you have done in Poland right??? and you are arguing with yourself for P4 and P5 at your first race?? come on... relax and prepare for the next one... a lot of pressure for 6-7 days in a row don't you think?
Probably but if you don’t push yourself to the max, you can get comfortable a slow. Always chase for greatness so you don’t have excuses to go slow… for me he’s not wrong tho
@@karinyman3436rally Poland last weekend, which Kalle won when he was not even supposed to do but Ogier got injured so he replaced him. Kalle said that he would not be fighting for the win and then he won 😂
Awesome job in a new discipline. Being a keyboard engineer, but is there a reason kalle is holding like 5%ish throttle into and middle of the corners? Always thought that should be avoided as it transfers the weight to the rear and creates understeer. Something Kalle mentioned he was struggling with. Might just be the way cup cars are driven though
