It‘s all Techno Music [by Chris.84] terrible news.. I had my ticket to see them on may 19th 2020 at Geneva airport, postponed due to covid-19 and now this.... 😢
Rest in Power to Kraftwerk Co-Founder Florian Schneider-Esleben (1947-2020). Your extraordinary musical talent and creative genius brought lots of happiness to this world, let me tell ya. You will be sadly missed, but never forgotten, Sir. Ichi Ni San Chi...Music Non Stop. ❤️
MODERN ?? They STILL USE 70's keyboards...They have no smoothness and beauty to any of their LAME music..Try the Pet Shop Boys and become a fan...I HUMBLY SUGGEST, listen to HIGH ENERGY flamboyant and sweet minimal...For beauty, try miracles...Open your mind and U WILL become a fan...Not being a jerk w/ you...God Bless :):)
@@davidgeerling9871 Educate yourself. Many popular British synth-pop/wave bands and artists of the 80s and 90s praise and honor Kraftwerk for being their inspirators, for sounds, beats and style.
that's normal ! what do you think it's possible techno music without kraftwerk? ok we have also mister giorgio moroder but who played electronic drum in 1971???? im from 1977 thoses sounds rock my youth! this is why im electrician and DJ from belgium with love^^
@Julian Graham Powers First of all, of course, Almighty God LIVES in heaven...When U say Mary, she is not to be worshiped..NOT saying U do...Also, UNEDUCATED Bible guy...Not mocking U...One of the 10 commandments says, thou shall not make any statues of anyone and not worship it...You might have seen a statue of Mary in peoples front yards..It's BLASPHEMY....Also, Florian is a sinner as we all are..The ONLY way he could obtain heaven is if he refrained from sin as best as possible and accepted Christ as his savior.....If U TRULY THINK DUMBWERK make good songs, I HUMBLY suggest U listen to music by the Pet Shop Boys, minimal, we're all criminals now, closer to heaven, slow version, the last 45 second of Numb, young offender, and flamboyant..The Michael mayer Kompakt version, of flamboyant, from 5:51 to 6:07...It's the best sounding keyboards I have ever heard...Minimal, is a fast paced song, something Kraftwerk is in capable of...Seriously, they haven't made a fast paced song, like the Pet Shop Boys...Also, U should know, Kraftwerk, not only makes WEIRD MUSIC...It's all very mechanical and rigid..If U truly think kraftwerk is so great.. I HUMBLY HONESTLY ask, U either listen to these songs I've mentioned by the Pet Shop Boys, and be honest and tell me, Kraftwerk makes better music. Time to HONESTLY tell me, if U like the Pet Shop Boys, or not are better !! REMEMBER, Kraftwerk, makes too mechanical and too rigid keyboard music..Also, they use outdated keyboards...Also, Duran Duran, DM, Tears for fears electronic, which is jonny marr, and bernard sumner, which used to be joy division, are better than moronwerk..Get over the too rigid CRAP KEYBOARD music, or stop telling me they are so great !!
@@davidgeerling9871 And Pet Shop Boys also had a huge hit called It's a sin, no need to explain what the song is about... By the way, you or anybody else can think anything about Kraftwerk, never hurts the fact they were and still are highly acclaimed innovators and influencers, one of the most important act in the history of music.
They look like University professors, and that incredible dedication to electronic music perfection would dictate the course of synth-pop, and spawn electro and techno music. Legends is too cheap a word to use to praise their talent, and contribution to many music genres
When asked why Kraftwerk used such elaborate light displays at their concerts, Florian Schneider is supposed to have said; "Four men standing in front of computers? People can see that at work!"
@VINZ BROWN ... Let's say "virtually" no national radio airplay. Urban Contemporary stations KJLH and KGFJ in Los Angeles both gave this hit some love. Peace.
Die bedeutendste Musikgruppe aller Zeiten. (Klassische Musik & Elektronische Musik.) Zwei Deutsche Revolutionen. (Kraftwerk hat bis heute keine würdige anerkennung erhalten.) Lang lebe TECHNO. Gut für die 🍐
It is just stupid to compare Kraftwerk with classic music. But with modern music it is totally correct. If not for them the music scene would have been delayed atleast 5-10 years.
I use this track many times over the past 20 years when teaching numbers to my German students in secondary school who would be mainly 12/13 years of age. It never dates and they can’t believe it’s so “old” 😄 They learn a few numbers in other languages 😀 They do wonder always who are the strange old men 😆
I’m blasting this. I think you have to play this loud to really get what they were doing. It’s unbelievable how innovative they were. RIP Florian Schneider.
I miss you Daddy. You introduced me to Kraftwerk when the Computer Love album came out & I was a kid. That was an eye opener to the amazing world of electronic music! We shared the love of music & then you passed so unexpectedly almost a year ago…I can’t listen to Kraftwerk without thinking of you. I love you. Life passes by quickly, love the important people in your life!
Same my dad passed in 2016 .... life is too short 💔 live to the full ✨️ I love ❤️ KraftWerk first listened to them late 70s Autobahn that is some Album.. take care👍
Im sorry, to u and the op...i cant fathom the utter devastation it has..my parents are getting there...and im not prepared..yh yh i know, nobody is lol...MY point is,im soooo not ready 😔✌️🥃@@citymad2mancitymad644
when they hit the BASS PEDALS, the whole room shook, but it sounded CRYSTAL CLEAR these guys are INCREDIBLE live !!!!!! the philly show (october 2nd, 2015 at the electric factory) was AMAZING !!!! 2 hours and 10 mins of electronic bliss.
It never fails to fascinate me just how robotic florian could act and this video is a really good example of that, minimal movements, emotionless expression, absolutely brilliant! Rest in peace, you absolute genius
The feeling I get from these guys and their music/shows, is that they are like four aliens who were sent to Earth as part of their education, but their species communicates with music so this is how they tell everyone back home what they learned.
I went to their concert a week ago, and it's very interesting to listen to this almost 20 year old performance right after. The 2023 version was almost completely different in so many ways.
Its IMPOSSIBLE to overstate the influence Florian Scneider and Ralph Hutter had on modern music. Its not easy to find a genre of populat music today not beeing a direct result or side-effect of what Kraftwerk did allready around 1974 until the early 80s.They were lightyears ahead of everybody, practically INVENTING modern music,to be pioneers and innovative in such a way as to completly redraw the map for all others to follow, has only been done by The Beatles before. Its mindblowing what these guys did.God bless you Florian for all the joy and inspiration!!!
...It was mind blowing dude as a 50yr old and still a massive fan...saw them live at the Manchester velodrome awesome gig...They did tour de france whilst the UK olympic cycling team road round the track.....I'll NEVER forget that,......
When "Computer World" was first released, it sent shock waves through the music industry. For the first time, a computer was used as a musical instrument. A friend said that the album was the cornerstone on which Techno and EDM were built.
@@MrUnidyne That's funny you should say that, cause Ralf, Karl and Wolfgang all said many times in interviews that "Computer World" was composed without using a computer of any sort. The whole recording process was analogic, and frankly, that amazes me even further !
History gives you dates, names, places, & events. But art gives someone I believe enables you to feel what living was during a specific time.100 years from now, people will listen to this music to learn how it felt to live in the 20th-21st centuries...,
1980 and this was the dance music being played in discos & dance clubs all over Europe. A friend & I would come off our ship and straight to the clubs.
I’m obsessed! My 24 yr old son likes them and I got my 3 yr old dancing to them! Seen them live in 2016 at the Hollywood Bowl! Best fucking concert ever! Some bad ass Germans ❤️ Ralf Hutter is such a cool cat!
I was around at the time to see it debut. I see this now with fresh eyes: you basically have 4 techno DJ's operating in tandem. Seeing it that way, you see all sorts of possibilities and opportunities that ... sadly ... were never acted on (like DJ's intercepting and remixing each others' mixes, in real time, overlaying on top, adding in effects, improvising). They never evolved beyond their original style to this - even though it was the natural next stage for them to advance to. It would have been great to see Kraftwerk II, once again pioneers, round 2.
