Thank you very much! You fully understand my approach to this version. It was of high importance to sustain a reflection of the original and not to bastardise it. I spent hours engineering synth sounds that respected the original. I am so pleased that listeners have picked up on this.

So kind of you to say. I was top heavy on the bass because - cardinal sin coming up - I only had headphones to mix down with but obviously a listener can adjust to suit themselves. I first heard Kraftwerk in '79 and their influence has lived with me ever since. Thanks again for your comment. 😎👍

Thank you so much. My only regret is not having made a vocal version. I can't see myself revisiting it again. It was very much a labour of love and extremely difficult to engineer the synths' sounds/frequencies so that they would be as recognisable as those in the original. I wanted it modern from a sound perspective but not detached from the original so it was very important for me to have the main synths sounding as close as possible to the originals. I am so pleased and overwhelmed by the support. Thank you.

Wow. Thanks. Appreciate the feedback. I think I need to reduce the low end though. I tried to be respectful and if I could sing I would have recorded the vocals.

Technically it is a remix. It doesn't state that it is a remix though actually it is a remix of the first, 2nd and third draft of this cover version. It is not a remix of the original music recordings but even that is not the single criteria that denotes a remix. "A remix is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, and/or changing pieces of the item." There is an alternate view that a remix only qualifies if it uses the original "stems" of the piece which is a modern development. I accept that back in the day, producers would use the recordings from each individual channel where they were available and make their own edits/cuts/extensions as they saw fit. Effectively creating stems to work with but not a set of readily available stems as is the process today. Also, as applies in modern times, they'd add additional elements and change instruments and sounds for various parts/phrases/melodies with new recordings made by different musical sounds or replacement instruments. In this instance, I took the original notes only and applied them to various plugin synths. I worked tirelessly to retain some of the original sound on key synths as to make the sound modern but not too distant from the original. On other phrases, I developed similar sounds but made a serious effort not to destroy the feeling from the original sound. It was extremely hard - as a novice - to develop the sound design of the synths involved and I am actually still unhappy with this version. The bass is way too strong in the mix. I am still very surprised and pleased that many people have been incredibly supportive and I totally appreciate their kindness.
