Kral Puncher Marine .177 review-Big Dan's Airguns.

Great shooting Dan! My friend just picked one up so I sent him this review. I’m totally blown away with just how good that gun is. Personally I get much more of a thrill from these lower priced guns giving the big boys something to worry about than the latest, greatest thing since sliced bread. Great review as ever mate, I love the way you keep it real.

Enjoyed your review and the very obvious delight you had even shooting it in the cold. If I might say, it looks a bit budget to me but the action looked slick and good. Must be nice to have dozens of pellets to choose from though. Keep up the good work.

Great review on this boss! I thought the same thing you did after I bought my first one lol I now own 6 of them! each one is lights out over some other popular brands. I own some air arms rifles and the Kral is right there if not very so slightly better for cheaper! Unbelievable amazing. I own .177 - .25 in Kral. Love the wood design. You are dead on my friend. I'm not going to say on here what pellets because then everyone will buy them up here lol. I need the ammo for pesting, that's what I do with mine. Lights out on byrdz. I have tossed away the air venturi avengers! They were problems and hyped up. Hey,sta slinging that sweet air rifle lead! Ed da pro snippin backyard man💥💪😎

An excellent and informative review. Looking around at the UK suppliers all appear in the websites show the old trigger blade. So if ordering will buyers get the old style blade or the new and much better trigger set up.

Thank you so much for doing this review, as you pointed out no one seems to have done one, I have seen a couple on the NPO2 which as a traditionalist I'm not interested in. I think the marine is to "tarty" for me. You mentioned buying one second hand, they seem to be few and far between, which I have taken as an indication they are pretty good. I think you may have helped me make a decision which I have been debating with myself for a long while. Thank you once again.

I love the colour of the rifle . I remember back in 2012 when I was lucky enough to be able to buy a limited edition daystate grey wolf , the silver colour on the action and the hugget shroud and silencer was beautiful to see,I paid £2400 for it , I remember thinking I'd never see a silver PCP rifle on the market for a good price , yet now I see a tidy little rifle that not only looks the part ,and hopefully shoots the part , but the most impressive thing of all is how cheap it is .... If I was just getting in to PCP rifles I might just have tried one of these .

I'm planning on grabbing a NP02 this weekend as my first PCP rifle (long as it fits fine), I ideally wanted a BSA Ultra but I just can't justify the extra £200/250 on one over the Kral, even if they are "better", I do love the look of this and the Jumbo also, makes me wonder if you could fit new trigger to NP02, another plus point on 02 is its lefty friendly out box :p

Looking at buying my first pcp and was looking at the budget SMK and Diana rifles but I think for the extra bit of money this is something that could potentially last a lifetime for less than £400! Seems like a really good quality rifle and I like the choice between blued or marine and walnut or synthetic and with the price points to match the materials used. They could have easily charged “marine walnut” money for the lot. Now I’m just torn between the wood or synthetic 😩

Myself and my brother have been looking at these for a while and both of us like it, what barrel is it using? Some of the things that you mentioned as a slight dislike like the safety not being infront of the trigger and the power adjuster being on the right side I'd argue that they are positives cos it's your right hand that you are cocking the rifle with ergonomically it's better all within a handspan of each other I personally think the safety being infront of the trigger is dangerous and a stupid place to put a safety feature on a firearm, I'll be interested to see what this rifle is like with abit of tuning work done on it and a regulator fitted cos for the price of it you could be quids in and have a belting little setup at the end, good review aswell pal thanks for putting in the effort and time to make the video 👍👏👏

That is impressive shooting , particularly given the price , accuracy at 40 yards is for want of a better term Outstanding . I bet this gives the Big Boys some pause for thought ! (watch out FX) it makes You wonder what its like with some "prepped" pellets , and if someone puts a Reg on one the mind boggles at the potential . It's almost enough to make Me want a PCP !. The Marine cote initially looked quite nice on screen , but I think I'd prefer darker less visible metalwork on My hunting guns . You really should stop slating Your marksmanship , I would say having watched pretty much All of Your video's ( I think !) ,You are a far better than "Average " shooter, Accomplished or Skilled are the terms that Spring! to mind . I nearly wet Myself when You said the only way it could be improved was if it was a Springer (My sentiments exactly) of course a compact magazine would be nice for fast follow ups (the Gamo offering works but the bulk is off putting , though I believe they have made a MK2 slimline version which looks half decent on the New .22 Gamo Swarm Maxim MK2 on a US airgun video I've seen) . On the back of Dans review here, i went and bought one! Dans review was totally spot on! mine shoots the same as this test one, very very good. Really pleased at the value for money. and blown away by the care that "Big Dan's Airguns" gave me all the way through the purchase.

I have the puncher Walnut Marine in .22 (and the NP-03 in .177, plus the Kral Devil springer in .22) they are Brilliant guns. Can’t fault them. So cheap but can knock out pellet on pellet groups. They love everything from heavy slugs to match pellets. Kral’s have come a long way in a short time. I highly recommend getting one for your collection. I’m looking for one in .25 next. I noticed you said it was nose heavy, it’s definitely not when not using a suppressor. I have the same Kral SS suppressor and it’s a lot shorter and lighter without the silencer. It’s also pretty quiet even without the suppressor. Adding a suppressor it’s insanely quiet - it won’t bother the neighbours for some back yard practice. The only downside for me, and it’s a very personal one! Having big hands I find the distance between the grip and the trigger a little short to comfortably get the pad of the finger on the trigger and I find my finger naturally wanting to wrap around the trigger which isn’t ideal. This is a very ‘me’ thing though as I shoot with an Artemis M30 quite a lot too which I find perfect, but a lot of friends have told me that they find they trigger distance to the grip too long. I wouldn’t recommend for hunting as the sun does glare off the stainless steel finish, I’ve camo painted my NP-03 and find its a much better carbine set up for hunting. The Puncher is much better for target shooting.

I have the Kral Puncher Knight in 2.2 and it an awesome bit of kit. I like the look of this one in 177!!! it could be on my New gun list 🤔

I’ve got one of these in .22 and I love it. The trigger on mine isn’t great, are these new trigger kits available as an upgrade for the old ones?

I never understand the manufactures making a silver gun with a black mag, the only thing that stops me getting one Is that damn mag, they are hard to find but you can get silver scopes, silencers, bipods etc but then you have that silly stick out like a sore thumb black mag, to me it completely ruins the whole look of what has potential to be stunning

Good review Dan. Nice looking rifle, love the walnut stock, not a fan of the shiny metalwork though at the end you did say that it also comes in a blued finish, that would be my choice. I just don't see the point of blingy rifles. Another point I'm not sure about is the cocking lever, I'd have liked to see a drop down one for ease of cocking in the field in cold weather. Other than that I'm quite impressed. Keep up the good work Dan.

I've got an 'offtopic' question for you here, Dan, if that's okay? I was wondering if you knew of an air rifle with the same design as the 'Nova Vista Freedom' and the 'Seneca Aspen' that is actually reliable? As you'll know, the 'o' rings constantly fail on these models, which is a real pity because the concept of a 'PCP' gun with it's own built-in pump, instead of carrying around cumbersome airtanks to refill it, is superb.

This is a good review but you must be the only guy that likes the safety near the trigger no way that’s a pain if near the trigger.
