On that night, 75 Cents became the oldest performer in history of ESC. As of 2020, he is now in third place behind Emil Ramsauer (who represented Switzerland in 2013 as part of the band Takasa at the age of 95) and Elizaveta Zarbatova (who represented Russia in 2012 as part of Buranovskiye Babushki at the age of 86). The previous record holder was Lale Andersen, who represented Germany in 1961 at the age of 56.
I really like this song of Croatia. My fav is the voice of the man of black... Fancy elegant and with all the escence of the Croatian rhythms. it's nice that they come back and will be in Kyiv.. Greetings to Zagreb from Mexico :)
This is overall a really good performance from Croatia. The man in black sounds like an established singer from balkan. What a classy voice! The rest of the group is also very good.
It really doesn't matter as it is not made for somerhing that we like to call 'commercial use' so it was out of the competition. This is made to touch hearts and not to gain voices ;)
The old man in white is 75 cents. From wiki: 75 Cents was the stage name of Croatian singer Ladislav Demeterffy a.k.a. Laci (29 January 1933 - 19 November 2010) who performed with Kraljevi ulice in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. He was dubbed "75 Cents", a reference to his age at the time (75).
This was 4th, there was no way it wouldn't be in the final. On the other hand, Macedonia only got 10th, which would've been a qualifier, but because of wildcard Sweden was in instead. So blame Sweden, not Croatia
